None would be great. As in... NO ONE.

None

Clapton would be a plus. Mick Taylor is who I've been dreaming of, but that isnt likely. Jeff Beck, Gary Clark Jr. or anyone else who doesn't sing is fine.

Mick Taylor 50 and Counting - a supreme tour thanks to his involvement, but I think that ship has sailed unfortunately.

I enjoyed Brad Paisley opening and guesting in Nashville in 2015, and finally made the country-exception(!) and saw his show in Columbus this past April... good show, helluva guitar player, and he did some Van Halen! Props!

I noticed Keith Urban is headlining the Lake Shake or whatever in Chicago on 6-22, perhaps another appearance by him at Soldier Field?

One wish...

Get Eddie Van Halen outta the house and to the Rose Bowl so I can die happy after he jams with The Stones!

IMO, guest spots should be a rare occurrence and the guest should be extraordinary - not just some pop tart du jour. My #1 is Jerry Lee Lewis (duet w/ Keith in a 3 song Keef set - Crazy Arms or Lucky Old Sun, perhaps), followed by Buddy Guy, Merry Clayton & Bill Wyman.

Would love to see locals Kurt Vile or War On Drugs opening for them in Philly.

^^^,
I sure do, Keithsman. DAMN THAT WAS GOOD!!! Still gives me chills. I watched the program when it first aired on TV & recorded it on VHS. Keith was on top of his game (and looking mighty fine to boot ). I just love the warmth & respect between them - you can tell that each is truly digging what the other is serving up thumbs up. C'mon, Chuck, call The Killer - MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

What about Patti Smith?
I guess 'Wild Horses' would be touching, IMO

God I hope not, the only guests I've enjoyed and haven't been cringing over was John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr.

I've actually had a nightmare once that Dave Matthews also ruined my wedding by singing duet on wild horses - that was our song for our wedding dance song :-)

I saw Dave do "Wild Horses" with them in Seattle on ABB. Just say no...

Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats-opening act?

Am I the only one who thinks Rateliff & the Nightsweats would be a great opening band on the 2019 US tour?!!

That would be a great one. Even though they are almost a cult thing now, I would like to put Drive-by Truckers up for consideration. They would be a great fit & the current line-up is smoking hot. Hard working band, might give them a little boost.

Saw them at Farm Aid in September...they were great!

On paper every single opening act for the Stones looks great. And if you are an act, any act, you get that call, you are going to drop everything and do the show. But in reality opening for the Stones has always looked like a lifeless, dreary event. Bad audio, no lights, no crowd attention.

It makes no difference who opens. You can have a puppet show as far as i care.

I don't understand disparaging opening acts. Every band has to start somewhere.

Do I want to sit through opening acts when I'm waiting for a band like the Stones? No, but I'll give everyone a chance at least.

no quests please.

Not unless Keith gets to choose all the guests this time.

How many 80 plus year old Blues artists are still around? OK, Buddy Guy in Chicago, I'm sure there are a few more...

Taj Mahal is pretty old.

I'd bet good money on the Pope warming up for them. Maybe even sitting in on Sympathy or JJF.

I enjoy the occasional guest sit-in for one tune, especially the blues players. But the real question is who will be the warm-up bands?

I nominate Great Van Fleet for one or two shows.

I’d like to nominate Greta van Fleet. Youth that rock beyond their years. Toots and the Maytalls was an interesting choice some years back. The audience in San Diego was not engaged. I actually enjoyed Katy Perry in Vegas.

Maybe Keith's a bit more hip than we give him credit for.

He's Keith, the epitome of hip!

That was in relation to BluzDude saying "How many 80 plus year old Blues artists are still around? OK, Buddy Guy in Chicago, I'm sure there are a few more"... after i suggested Keith choose the guests this time.

I happen to think Keith has a very varied and wide knowledge of great artists who could guest with the Stones who are not over the age of 80 and only play the Blues.
