Brian was certainly the most photogenic on the group and some people might say of his period.
Therefore, an obvious choice for a book of this nature.
Hope the cost isn't out of the reach of us mere mortals.

Yeah, hope it's not one of those silly money books.

The recent Chicago The World Is watching book goes for 60$ or 300$.

Ironic play on words since Brian didn't make it to "The Park".

He was in Hyde Park many times, but...

and....'A walk in the park' means something easy to do.
and Brian's life certainly wasn't easy, for himself or anyone who knew him.

The recent Paul Trynka book about Brian theorizes that he was bi-polar. His severe asthma must have affected him also.

I recently purchased the Cooper Gimme Shelter book which is astounding. Hopefully this will be just as good.

Whoops, my apologies, long day, etc. The book I was referring to was "Let It Bleed", which I'm sure you're aware of. Sad, getting old.

A Brian Jones picture book? Are there really that many Brian pictures, good ones, that we haven't seen? Is there much to his story that we don't know? Or, if so, are there some sources that actually knew him who are now willing to talk? It would bore the crap out of me to read what celebrity flavor of the month thought of him. He was a brilliant pop star musician, who squandered his gifts. And died.

Is the run going to only consist of the people who fund the Kickstarter at those high price points, or will other editions be sold? It's pretty pricey. I own a Michael Cooper photo book, which I bought used and looked at once. It looks like at least some of the photos are duplicates of photos published elsewhere.

No you didn't!

In 25X5 he says "Look cock, you're fired".
You need to understand English vernacular, in this context "cock" is actually a term of endearment.
It wasn't unusual to hear my Auntie Gladys say something like "'Ello luv! Y'all right cock?"

Thankfully, a cheaper more mass produced version will be released at a later date.

That's it. I was never good at exact quotes from memory. Huh. So calling someone a cock is a term of endearment? Keith didn't look endearing when he said it.

Not endearment exactly, but not an insult either.
Something like "look, pal, you're fired."

Did he really say that in Brian's face? Iirc Mick and Keef sent Charlie to deliver the bad news to Brian... (but I may be wrong).

I've always read that Mick and Keith went down to give him the news.

Note they didn't tell him he was fired like that. That's just Keith's usual semi fictional take on how things went. Forcing the issue would be more apt.

This isn't working out and etc.

He was effectively already not really in the band.

Kinda cowardly how they waited till after they had someone for sure and not before though.

And of course in the 70s Mick was lining up for potential replacements for Keith when he was having his own issues with drugs and the law.
In retrospect Brian's legal issues were quite minor compared to Keith. The difference though was Keith was still an active member of the band whilst Brian's contributions were getting less and less.

A notable difference also is that in 1967 Brian followed the bad advice of his solicitors... that being to distance himself from the band and to admit guilt.

A big mistake which left him exposed and vulnerable to the police harrasment he went on to endure.

On my Facebook page “Brian Jones, the final truth’ I posted evidence showing the London Drugs Squad planned to raid Cotchford farm in August 1969. Spanish Tony provided Brian the drugs and he provided the Drugs Squad this information. Tony informed Keylock about the upcoming raid and they knew this final raid would finish off Brian for good. He was without proper legal aid and money. This created a certain mood at Cotchford: let’s get the bastard, because the authorities were going to get him anyway.
