Standing pit and standing GA this time it appears.
Very similar to UK shows, with seating in between, instead of the standing Golden Circle offered there.
Come show time, as everyone on the floor will be standing, it won't be much different than UK.. which is great news!!

I'm from Michigan, and so I only go to Chicago a couple times per year, but we never stay anywhere much south of the Loop because it's hard to know what neighborhoods are safe or not unless one is a local. If you want to stay outside the loop, Pilsen is a really nice neighborhood with record shops, nice bars, etc, and safe to walk in.

Or can you call TM with your Amex or passcode?

Chris, it’s near the University of Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry. It’s a safe and interesting urban university neighborhood if you stay in the Hyde Park area. I’d take an Uber or taxi back after the show. The commuter train (not the L) is also fine for getting to downtown.

FAN-CLUB pre-sales, etc:

It has been my experience that fan club pre-sales usually consist of a lot of back of the house tickets that might go begging later. Before TM instituted their recent queue system it was easy to look at tickets and put them back in hopes of finding a better pair. With the fan club pre-sales a pattern would form wherein less than desireable sections, typically on the far side of mid-field,(center ice,etc) would keep coming up.

AMEX pre-sales are usually pretty good but don't allow access to the cheapest seats. There are two AMEX offers; for those with a standard card you have access to exclusive good seats but must pay with AMEX. For the AMEX Preferred ticket you type in the 1-800 from the back of your Gold, Platinum or Black card to access essentially the same seats as those with the standard AMEX. Maybe a couple rows closer but in the same vicinity. Both require you pay with AMEX.If you want to roll high the AMEX sale is your friend.

I have seen every tour since 1975 and I love the Stones but I'm not spending an arm and a leg this time around. I just want to be there.

I live in Chicago -- you will be fine there. You won't be able to get a train from there. It will have to be taxi, uber, or perhaps a bus.

Hating the pre-sale -- forgot about the new feature of getting in line early, so didn't log on until a couple minutes before 10am....now half an hour later, no opportunity to buy yet.

Couldn't resist pulled the trigger. Got what I wanted! Now jsut need to wait until June.

Getting into waiting room early is unfortunately no help as they "randomly " place you in line after sale starts.

"How the Waiting Room works:

The Pre-Waiting Room will open 30 minutes prior to the event going on sale
Once the event goes on sale, all of those in the queue will randomly selected to shop".

I was hoping for a similar price on the European dates ....
$ 1540 for the Pit ...... too much for me
