I would recommend to stay away from the Union Square area and all the big hotels. I really like North Beach and the Mission because of all the good food and bars.

If you're driving down to Levi's Potrero Hill has a lot of Airbnb's and good 101/280 access.

Another option is to wait and use Hotwire the weekend of the show in SF. I have gone out in SF aND DONE THAT. Stayed at $400/night hotels for $120 which is almost what Uber costs to get home when bars close at 2AM

Priceline as well - the "bid your own price" option as well as the "express deal option".
Have used both many times throughout the years, and have stayed in some of the best hotels around the world with a major discount.

And it just dawned on me daspy that we used this method for Fresno/Neil Young. While that Radisson was perhaps not the greatest haha,
we did get it at a pretty good discount via priceline "express deal", and it was alot better than most other Fresno alternatives!

*also- Trader Joe's version of steak (and chicken) and ale pies are very very good, and cheap!

Not a big fan of Levi's, but if we leave early enough, at least we can bring the Kiddo's!!! Not complaining at all, happy to have them come to the west coast once again!!! Got four tix, (208) row 5 w/ an isle seat today at presale. If I can improve to the floor Friday, I'll let these go.

Reminds me, I bought a traditional blue Levis Stones jacket back during Licks w/tongue on the back, and it keeps getting better with age - nicely faded and comfy!
