People here are talking about the cat walk.
I dont see that happening at the Fairgrounds.
Besides taking up valuable crowd space, the Stones crew would have to come in and build it earlier in the week, then break it down right after the show that night.
Also, keep in mind the area is a grass and dirt field, so I dont think that would be able to support a catwalk, especially if it rains (which happens often during the fest).
Its possible, but keeping in the tradition of the Fest, I doubt it.

At Dessert trip the cat walk was set up and removed after Friday’s show for both weekends.i’ve never been to Jazzfest but don’t see a problem in setting up a modified catwalk overnight on Thursday

At Desert Trip the catwalk was in place 1st night for the Stones, although opener Dylan didn't use it (lol). The next night for Neil and Paul, the setup had totally changed, catwalk gone.

Just received word that my aunt and uncle waited 4 hours in the rain to snag tickets for my cousins and me. They said they only had 4 ticket windows running which caused a bit of a logjam.

Very excited to be returning to New Orleans for a week visit, and having the Stones there is the icing on the crumpet!

I figured it was... so I kind of trolled it... but it made me Google it since I had no idea what you were talking about!

Seriously, the lines were because the online sale doesn't happen until Friday. 10,000 available to state residents only at the Supe.

FWIW, Aerosmith had a fairly substantial runway at last year's Fest.

Bob Seger won't be appearing now due to scheduling conflicts.. Bummer.

Seeing him in Vancouver next month, looking forward to it!

How many tickets did you get? Jazz Fest -page says "There is a 4 ticket limit", otherwise it's been two and this Ticketmaster's queue says "To allow more fans to shop, each spot in line may complete one (1) purchase at a time".

I just needed 1, so that's all i bought. I had option to buy up to four. Got right through on phone after having 3 devices going. Couldn't believe how smooth it was.

Sold out.

It said no tickets available... so that means sold out to me.
