In Paris, my only time in the pit, I got on line two hours before the doors opened. There were already people in front of me so I would advise getting there maybe three hours before. When those doors open, walk or run if you can, and claim that space. People get very territorial about their spaces once they have them. Have a blast. It is a real thrill being that close.

It will be hot and steamy. You will be completely thawed and somewhat par-boiled when you leave!

RE: Hotels - when I first looked they were all booked up but when I put in a 3 night request I was able to get in at the Hyatt. Luckily (because of this sight) I was able to get that before the prices skyrocketed.

We are in pit A (1?) so let me know if any other JAX/IORR peeps will be there. We could really stake it out and grab our spots/hold them.

I used to live in JAX so yes - hot and steamy for sure in July.

Why not the scenic St Augustine?

Chris - did you even live in Camden, SC? I used to know a Chris Fountain.

The Jacks Hyatt by the stadium has rooms available now although a bit pricey at $323 if you become a member of their rewards program.

frtylicks--no insider knowledge here but from a Florida resident, I doubt very much they will stay in Jacksonville. They will probably arrive in the morning/early afternoon and leave right after the gig on their private plane to Miami or some other destination.

Going in when doors open. In pit 1. Def interested in meeting others to go in with and grab space. It’s def easier to hold your space with a group vs 2 people. I ended up getting an Airbnb full house for cheaper than a room. Psyched

It's going to be brutally hot, so prepare as best you can - lots of water, electrolytes, and other beverages. Sunscreen too. It's rough even on natives.

muncy23--I am also in pit 2 in jax. Was in pit 1 in Chicago 1 b/c couldn't get pit 2 but ended up very happy b/c Ronnie was very animated etc and Keith was not at all and just hung out back by Charlie 95% of the night. From night 1 and reading the reports from other shows so far, I kind of wish I were in pit 1 again for jax.

Any plans for a pre-show meet up among IORR folks?
