The announcement of the postponement was on 12-Jul-2019, 08:11am (Pacific Time) - [www.Instagram.com] , [www.Facebook.com] , [Twitter.com] , [RollingStones.com] .

It will be rainy and windy. To what extent is unknown as the Weather Experts are uncertain at this point.

8:11 EDT - Stuart Fl.

It's still very very early, but latest tracks have it downgrading back to a depression by Friday morning...

If they move it please make it Monday no later!

If the map above is correct that give the storm like 43 hours to move out before show time.

There could be road Closures and also some folks will be heading North on all available routes - This could get messy sometimes they close South bound lanes to open up North Bound ones.

It's still just looking to be a tropical storm, not a (crossfire) hurricane.

And if it stays on course of the current tracking, it would probably make landfall somewhere around Jupiter/Palm Beach, which is a good distance north of Miami. Will still need to push the show by a day or two though, to be safe.

Hope you guys can change your travel plans if you have to.

Chris, while you are correct in a "real" hurricane situation, this currently looks to hit Florida, if at all, as a tropical storm or category 1 at worst, unless things change drastically. That would mean no mass exodus, jammed roads, etc. That only happens when their is prediction of a direct hit with a major storm, which this is not predicted to be at this time.

Even if the storm goes north of Miami we are going to feel effects for at least 48 hours, wind, rain, Road closures, etc. Not conducive to filling the stadium for the worlds greatest rock ‘n’ roll band, much better to move it back until Tuesday which will give people plenty of time to return and get to the show.

I'm fine with whenever they move it (unless they do the show a day early... I already have tickets to see Beck in WPB on Fri 8/30. I'd have to skip that.)

I'd prefer Sunday night, but if they have to move it to Monday or Tuesday, so be it. I'll still be there.

for what it's worth...Al Roker today showed a graph that showed rainfall thru Saturday night at 0.25 inches.....not a lot at all by most standards, especially South Florida's.

I made a separate sticky thread for the tropical storm warnings for Miami/Florida. Please use that thread for all weather discussions, as they need to be standing on their own during the next days and hours:

Tropical storm Dorian warnings for Miami Florida this week-end

Not for a forecasted tropical storm. It's a shoo-shoo for Miami.

If it turns into a category 3... I can see what you're saying.

This show will have the highest average selling price of the tour, but will gross less than MetLife due to smaller capacity. Should be a great end to a very successful summer.

Prices on stubhub currently plummeting, obviously due to the storm/bad weather likelihood.

Due to the weather forecast, the Rolling Stones show scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Hard Rock Stadium has been moved up a day, to Friday, Aug. 30, according to the Stones’ representatives.

All tickets will be honored for the new date. There will be no opening act — so no Juanes performance. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the Stones will go on at 8:30 p.m.

Once BV pointed out the impossibility of postponing due to post-tour commitments of parts of their crew, this seemed like the wisest choice.

Best wishes to all those in Florida impacted by Dorian.

The show, itself, should be great. Have fun and stay safe everyone.
