I just don't get how the concept of the so called Platinum Tickets can be legal.
Ticketmaster is saying tickets are sold out, unless you're willing to pay more than the fixed selling price.
Right now they're trying to sell PIT tickets for Chicago for $2,027 EACH.
Tickets are not sold out, they just don't want to sell it for face value. In other words, they have figured out how to work like a legal black market company.

How can $500 tickets be legal but not $2000 tickets? How can it not be legal? The Rolling Stones own the tickets and they can charge whatever they want.

And what's face value? Concerts are like airline flights, everybody pays a different price.

We are talking about the exact same ticket type being sold for a set of different prices at the same time. Customers don't know what the prices really are. It's very confusing to say the least. Normally, in the real world, if you walk into a shoe shop, the same pairs of shoes are sold for the same prices at the same time. The notion that concert ticket prices work like airline flights is a rather new and rare phenomena, and whilst it's probably not illegal –it's morally wrong, annoying and confusing. How could it be otherwise when customers use their pre-sale code from rollingstones.com to buy tickets at the same time for the same show at the same site, and person A get offered the same ticket for $500 and person B for $2000? So if you call Ticketmaster and ask them what a ticket in a certain section will cost, what will they say? "It varies as we speak" or "You are so unlucky that you called me, because the colleague sitting next to me are selling the same ticket for half the price"?

Maybe its just me, but there is something completely rotten about how Ticketmaster are selling tickets. There was a time when the promoter would say: These are the different price categories, sale starts tomorrow at noon, first come, first served.

Ticketmaster doesn't set the prices.

If you can I would wait I know some cant wait they want there tickets now so they can make travel plans etc..I look at tm like the stock market. Warren Buffett said the stock market is just a way of transferring money from the impatient to the patient I kinda look at getting good stones tickets the same way don't get suckered into buying something you can't afford..good luck. SEE YOU AT FOXBOROUGH.

Good Post - I think that some very good seats during the pre-sale are reasonably priced from a Stones' standpoint. For example, if you had a AMEX Card one could get a close Side Stadium seat. But the main point of the Chicago second show is that it is the final US tour event - so why not get a decent tic priced seat if available? However, they must act qucikly as there is a internet generated waiting line as soon as you sign in. Even 30 a minute delay can be costly if missed. Again, we do not know what will be released tomorrow for all the events for Gen Admin.

Passwords for today are:

CLOUD (radio station)
SHUFFLE (??? - maybe TM?)
HARLEM (AEG ???)

Don't forget, the presales won't start until NOON today, not 10:00am.

So as to ticketmaster fees--I bought a pair for Miami and a pair for the Rose Bowl yesterday. Miami were $394.50 each face and Rose Bow were $397.81 each face. Miami also charged a $45.00/each facility fee and a $91.36/each service fee. So that added $136/ticket. Rose Bowl was $1.69/each facility fee (yes that's right $1.69) and $50.00/each service fee. So for Rose Bowl it was an extra $51.69 per ticket over face and Miami was $$136 over face per ticket!! Why the huge difference when all tickets coming from ticketmaster. I sort of get the facility fee difference b/c I guess each facility charges their own fee. But wow what a difference between $45.00 and $1.69. And ticketmaster fee difference between $91.36 and $50.00. What is that about?

Curious..
Was the $608.75 all in including fees?
Making the face value presumably $500ish or fees on top of $608.75?

Also- Congrats!

I know today's presale is NOON for Miami. It may still be 10:00am for other cities.

Sorry if I ruined anybody's life. I was trying to help.

Does it matter what code I use for the presales? Like do different presales get different ticket allotments?

Facility fees are set by the venue. I guess Miami wants to make sure they make money on this.

A single pit ticket for Jax at $768, which is including the $100 service fee. should I go for it or wait. Ive been watching them trickle down from $1,200 to $668 and need some advice if anyone believes they will continue to drop or to just get the pain and suffering over and lock it in.

Because it's a pre-sale. They try and sell as many VIP packages as possible in the first few days.

Try StubHub if you cannot wait.

Prices do seem to vary from venue to venue, the MetLife face value pit was some 560 USD incl. fees.
