I may be totally wrong but I recall the AMEX presale for the Zip Code tour being all VIP packages, which are a total scam. All you're buying is piece of mind that you've locked in a good seat

To make matters more confusing, I think there are 2 Amex pre-sales, one for VIP packages for which I think you have to have a particular level of Amex card and code for (on the back of the card), and the other being the non-VIP tickets for all Amex card holders (no code necessary...just need to charge to the Amex card) .

The pit is always the place to be.

Thanks Dean. Your words mean a lot. I've been reading your reviews for years and thank you greatly for those reviews.. I know that you don't want to give all of your secrets away, but how do you usually purchase tickets?

The secret? Between you and me - don't do anything until about a month before the show. Even then, scalping on the day should be fine (though it was tough during recent U.S. arena outings). Stubhub may also be your friend.

P.S. I also take advantage of credit card sign-up bonuses to take the sting out of ticket prices.

So...whats the thought use the RS code of the AE code. Will they both have the sames seats

Most likely but the code INGOLD or INPLATINUM might unlock special Amex Preferred Seating.

Also there is a limit of 2 orders across the tour for Amex.

How do I get the code for american express?

I called Ticket Master about American Express.

There will be seats just for American Express.

If it ask for a code it is the Customer Service 800 number.

If it does not ask for a code just go to check out and use the AE card.

Generally it is the 800 number on the back of the card. Which is useless if you don't have an AMEX card.

For Chicago, there's 5 pre-sales tomorrow, 4 Thursday, then 3 different 'general' sales Friday.

Glad TM is keeping it simple! :-)

It is the exact time that Jagger and Richards wrote their first song - locked in a kitchen.

Presale code is in, and I have an AMEX card, so will scout around for one of the three shows I'll be attending (probably Santa Clara) to see if anything's worth grabbing at a reasonable price without panic.

This is all so silly. So many here are like teenage groupies when it comes to the band. When is enough enough? How many times can you listen to the same old songs and spend an arm and a leg to do it? To each his own, I guess. Smh...

Yes it's silly, but it's all part of the thrill of the chase. And there's the chance they'll play a new song (or two) amidst all the warhorses ha!
Worth an arm and a leg? Hmmm....no....but the bottom line, it's the Rolling Stones! It's tradition! It's nostalgia! It won't last forever!!!

Dumb question... So are all pre-sales online only?

Or can I call TM and provide them my RS.com password for that presale for example?

Good luck, will be doing the same and if the right tickets come up will buy. Teamwork to get us all in. Santa Clara, Sea and NJ are the 3 I am trying for.
