Amex presales are on ticketmaster website. You have to log in to the website and then when it comes time to pay, you have to use your Amex card.
I've actually bought a number of tickets this way to recent concerts like KISS, Elton and Seger. They have certain sections available, nothing right close to the stage. In Rogers Arena in Vancouver, it's usually lower bowl end zone and various sections in the upper bowl and towards the back for floor seats.

How come vivid seats can sell tickets already?

It's a broker site. Either they are speculative tickets or since most of these have specific sections and rows, someone has tickets already. Now I checked on Stubhub and there are already 3 completed sales in addition to listings and Stubhub you must have the actual seats you are selling.

Pay to play, it's all about greasing the right palms as a broker once told me. Much more about that than it is getting into the public onsale via bots and armies of ticket buyers. That's why when we are lucky enough to get through and pull tickets in the first minute of an onsale, there's usually already nothing worth buying.

Planning to score Pasadena and Santa Clara, any suggestions which areas are the best to stay?

Stayed at the Marriott Santa Clara for Grateful Dead reunion at Levi's in 2015. Room was a bit tight with no fridge, but had a balcony overlooking the pool. About a 25 minute walk either along the highway (with sidewalks) or along the canal. There's a smallish mall along the way that has a few places to eat, basic groceries, and a liquor store.

I would say it's an almost certainty that the Rolling Stones ticket office has a direct link to the marketplace. And some Rose Bowl seats might have permanent holders.

Someone just paid $999 each for 6 together in section 9 row 25.

Any guesses on when they'll be an announcement about NOLA jazz fest?

There are generally 2 different types of Amex sales.

There is the general Amex presale where all you need is the card, and then there is Preferred Seating where you need the code (usually INGOLD or INPLATINUM) which may or may not be better seats.

The fan club sale and the Amex general presale are most likely pulling from the same pool of tickets.

Funny, but the IORR home page has replaced even the Stones home page for
me in terms of checking to see the cities/dates etc. after an announcement.

Love seeing "RUMOURED" status flip to "CONFIRMED" cool smiley
Can't be said enough, thank you Bjornulf for this invaluable resource.
(and for keeping it off FB etc., and maintaining it's non-profit status)

Sincerely grateful, and to all the posters as well.. great, great info and insights given freely here
(ok, sometimes a little too freely, but still winking smiley )

That was fantastic!

It already looks outdated and cheesy (in a good way) like some long lost time capsule...and those cheerleaders are great to look at!
The excitement is taking over the city!!!

Hate to say it but it's true. I live in LA and hate going to the Rose Bowl for anything with a passion but that was kinda cool. Still not sure if I'll make the sacrifice even for the Stones but it is on my home turf.... confused smiley

I guess you can be grateful it's not at the L.A. Coliseum - at least the surrounding neighborhoods of the Rose Bowl are nice in comparison.

I thought you lived down in Orange County?

Still cannot believe they are not playing Toronto this tour! What a huge 'middle finger' to the 4th largest metro area in North America! Mick and the boys still has time to make good and add a Toronto date!

How is the likelihood of New Orleans_
50%, 90% or?

If you watch the little Jagger video where he Chuck Berry style lists the cities to be played in 2019, New Orleans IS sung!!!

Going to show up at posted times w/ a credit card, do my best, it’s going to be a lot of fun and we should all support the best rock n roll band in the world.

But it's still an easier in and out to the Coliseum than the Rose Bowl. Even with the lack of parking, you can park downtown and Uber/bus/Expo line it in within 5 minutes. Rose Bowl it's a one lane road to $50 parking, the overpacked shuttles or a long walk down poorly lit roads with no signs pointing you in the right direction.

True enough Dan.

Maybe the new Rams stadium will be the best of both worlds (even though it's in Inglewood winking smiley ), but that's still a couple years away.
And maybe the Stones will play there on their next tour haha - evidently it will be the site of SuperBowl LVI in 2022, and the home of the 2028 Summer Olympics!

But in the meantime no matter, I'm good with either the Coliseum or the Rose Bowl - both massive monstrosities/stadiums!

Hairball,

The field in Glendale is retractable and will be outside, therefore opening up the floor seats.

That's where the stage will be as well, those end zone seats are removable.
