For anyone who can't get in to the main act at Ronnie Scott's you may be able to get into the late show, starting at 11.00, finishing at 3.00a.m. It's quite usual for the main acts to hang around and jam with the act, which in this case is Paddy Millner, another boogie Woogie piano player. Hope to see as many of you there (and Wimborne on the Tuesday night).

Satisfied since 1976

I have a spare front row ticket for the Tivoli show today. The ideal for me would be to swap it for a ticket to one of the Ronnie Scott's shows (sorting the price difference, of course), but I could also sell it at face value. I am a postgrad student in Oxford, so I can travel to both Wimborne and London.

I am seriously interested. Could you email me please?

IORRians based in Northern Germany can catch Ben on 29th November, when he plays Ulli Schroeder’s Stones Museum in Luchow.

[stonesfanmuseum.com]

Nov 29th conflicts with MC50 in Fabrik Hamburg, it's a pity...

Those in the South could go on Friday 16. in Neustadt/Weinstrasse [www.adticket.de]

Wishing lots of fun to all going!

Reminds me of Ronnie with Mick Taylor a few tears ago at the Cutting Room in NYC.
This one must have been great too!

Thanks for the photos, folks.

I thought it was tomorrow night for the special guests! Sounds like it was very good. I love how Ronnie's so willing to pack his guitar, jump in his car and head out to darkest Dorset to do one off gigs like this. I understand Ben Waters is a native of the area and still lives nearby, with a proper Dorset accent to boot. I've watched some of his stuff on Youtube - what a huge and understated talent he is. So down to Earth and unassuming yet so brilliant.

I'm sure the attendees for tonight and tomorrow night are in for a treat.

Tonight in Ronnie Scotts was fabulous. Even Rod Stewart sang a few verses in the encore. This what I call rocknroll.

The warm-up gig was professionally filmed; the first night at Ronnie Scotts was not. The band at Ronnies was tighter, after a warm-up not surprising.

I have to confess to never ever liking The Faces, and by association I thoroughly disliked anyone and anything associated with them. (Yes, I did see them live - supporting The Who at the Oval). And that included one Ron Wood.

That is until I went to the Eric Clapton Rainbow Concert - checks ticket - January 13th 1973 - organised by Pete Townshend to try and shake Eric out of his drug induced haze.

Ronnie was in the band. Throughout he kept back, but was as solid as a rock, playing brilliantly and keeping things going and helping provide the basis for Eric to play.

My keenest memory is of Ronnie sitting to the side of the stage concentrating on playing the lap steel guitar - so I've seen him play it before (outside of The Stones).

Truly great stuff.

Well, what a week it's been so far, and we've still got tonight to go! Stayed at Ben's Monday night and up until the early hours watching his band rehearse at home then full rehearsals in Wimborne with Ronnie and Imelda, only just finished in time before the doors were due to be opened. A fantastic privilege to watch Ronnie working at close hand, only 3 of us non-band members in attendance. Sally watched from the balcony, Anna (Ronnie's guitar tech)was so pleasant, as was Ronnie himself, what a gentleman he is. He came over and handed me his guitar pick at the end of rehearsals. Off to the pub with Ben whilst the support was on, then the full rehearsal show. Great to see how everything comes together in the actual performance. Back to Ben's then up to London yesterday for Ronnie Scott's. Chose a table behind Ben with a great view of the stage. Brilliant gig, Imelda and Natasha we're in superb voice, had one heckler in the audience, some bloke called Rod that Ronnie seemed to know. A fantastic show, topped off by Sir Rodney joining the encore. What to do after the show ? Go to the pub with Ben and the band. Resting in the hotel now before we do it all again tonight !

Satisfied since 1976
