What song stands for you?

I guess this could be OT too, because in no way does this have to stick with the Stones. But I was working last night, and a song came on, and it made me reflect that I very much identify with this song.
Is there a song that may have carried you through hard times; or when it comes on the radio it's like "F*ck Yeah!

Overall, since the summer of '65, Satisfaction. It's an ongoing thing, the search for it.

Not a song, but the last line of Lou Reed's liner notes of Metal Machine Music: "My week beats your year." As in, I have more extracurricular activities than most of my colleagues.

adtl
and 'sit down servant' by the Staple Singers; that's the hottest rock and roll video on the planet i sometimes think. young Mavis so full of spirit.
she's touring right now some way over 60 years singing her heart out to God and grateful fans everywhere in the world. she's magnetic and magnificent always.
their version of 'servant' when it breaks out into that hand-clapping and young Mavis is staring straight into your soul and the camera; well that's pretty blistering stuff; coming from those call and response 'field hollers' in a bit the 'secret' language while in laboring in the hot fields; little david taking on big power and all that. it's beautiful gorgeous holy rock and roll music and she's totally 'there' ....divine stuff...aww pops....did you see him in Wag The Dog movie with willie; so glad they filmed him in his last years.

ho! Yes, I know that clip. That is a striking woman. Can not avert my eyes from her face. Her dimples when she gets ready for next line; the way she sort of mouths the lyrics when only the BU singers are singing; the double time it goes into. Bonnie Bramlett must've seen her too. And yes - 'Wag the Dog' with Willie for sure. Love that film.

I don't know what song stands for me.
But I can tell you what song I stand for.
I am an American.
I stand for the National Anthem.

This is easy for me to answer because every time I plug my Les Paul in I always play Jumping Jack Flash, Shattered, She's So Cold, Honky Tonk (my numero uno #1 favorite )Brown Sugar and Sympathy for the Devil. These songs are imprinted into my DNA .
