I remember one friend had "No Expectation's" at his service and another had the "El Macombo" side 3 of "Love you Live".

I plan to lock everybody in the church, then force them to listen to the whole catalogue of bootlegs from the Taylor Wood area.

Can I come? Mmm, yes, but what if it's the other way around?

@The Joker, why no love for Brian era bootlegs? Mmm, thanks for asking, maybe to be remembered as merciful

@35love, I feel quite certain you can, yes.

*uh-oh, messed up quotes.
‘May I please attend to listen to good music.’ Properly rewritten.
If Joker in return replied yes but what if you die first,
I reply,
no.

Coming Down Again, Sympathy for the Devil and other Stones's songs could be associated with funeral music.

I will be cremated. No big event or music.

My sympathy. It must be vrey hard when nobody is there that wisehs to say goodbye and thanks for haveing you known.

The sheer topic of this thread shows we are the fans of a very old band, and we are getting old with them as well. Somewhat funny, or ironic if someone looks at it from the outside World..

Nevertheless, why not to use I Just Want To See His Face ?

Sympathy for the Devil (if there are mourners I expect them to do a full ho-hoo choir for ten-fifteen minutes). The casket will be inside a replica of the Lotus stage that closes and goes up in flames towards the end. Afterwards Brown Sugar will be played at a horrible volume as the mourners dance, howl like Jagger och pose like Keith and Brian down the aisle to the gates. My badly burnt remains will be buried to "When blue turns to grey" with one mourner citing the death of Brian Jones passage from the 25x5 video through a PA-system.

I have thought about this, and they better sing me away with, "Sleep Tonight."

There will be no Stones songs in my funeral. I don't want my family and friends to be sad when they hear any Stones song.

I think the same, but for another reason.

It's quite self-indulgent and laughable to think to our little ourselves in a casket, followed by mourners wiping tears and listening to Stones music in our sad remembering, blablabla... Maybe there will be no funeral because of no remains, because of earthquake, tsunami or jet crash, or crocodiles'lunch, so big waste of time
I used to think that way 34 years ago, when watching the funeral scene in The Big Chill... No more.. [youtu.be]

I don't want a funeral. Just quietly cremated with no-one present. It was good enough for David Bowie and John Lennon. I'll leave whatever the funeral would have cost to charity instead.

Hopefully not for a few decades yet though smiling smiley

True about my work ethic- but the real reason for cremation is that I want my wife to have as much money as possible. Funerals and grave plots are expensive.
