Promotone EP 287

Weird that even Rolling Stones Records would misspell Jumpin' Jack Flash.

What does Jagger say on 2:19 between If You Can't Rock Me and Get Off Of My Cloud?

If You Can't Rock Me / Get Off Of My Cloud

The moment I listened to this album I heard "Nou zeg het nou, zeg het nou" (Dutch). Or is it some French?

You mean between IYCRM and Get Off Of My Cloud?
I always heard something like "Oh shake it oh shake it up".

Yes, that's right. Now with those words listening again it makes sense! "Oh shake it out" Thanks!

I've combined info from several threads here and came up with the following things (mostly by Jagger) being said between the songs.

Please correct or add:

...

02 Crackin’ Up

MJ: ohooo who hooo hoo
Are you feelin' good?
Ya feelin loose now?
A bit more relaxed?
I feel like strokin everybody...stroke me Billy...strike me darling!"
Uhm, to ehh, to introduce the band
??: Alright then
MJ: Where's Billy? Billy's gone, Billy?
Where's Billy?
Billy is very open for offers
I wouldn't say he's up for grabs, but open for offers
??: ??
MJ: Ollie Brown is dead open
Charlie Watts is a sort of maybe
Bill Wyman just wants to take photographs of the girls’ legs
Ronnie Wood is gay
RW: And ol'bum's-rush Jagger 'ere!
Keith of course is completely straight

end of song...
(indecipherable MJ, a few words)
MJ:
Woo Ooh Oooh, Woo Ooh Oooohh, Woo Oooh Ooooohh (incremental raised pitch)
Are you feelin' good?
Are you feelin loose now?
A bit more relaxed?
I feel like strokin everybody...stroke me Billy...strike me darling!"
Uhm, shall we introduce the band?

Ron: Alright Then

MJ:
Where's Billy? Billy's gone, Billy?
Where's Billy?
Billy is very open for offers
I wouldn't say he's up for grabs, but open for offers (MJ cracking himself up)

Unknown (probably Bill WYman): you too mate

MJ:
Ollie, Ollie Brown is ghetto
Charlie Watts is absolved maybe
Bill Wyman just wants to take photographs of the girls’ legs
Ronnie Wood is gay

Ron: And y'all f'in-trust-Jagger yeah?

MJ: Keith of course is completely straight.

At least that's what it sounded like to me & I've listened to that part 50x easily, as I love that version of Crackin' Up.

I welcome any corrections/additions also.

Pretty positive its bums rush Jagger like originally stated.

Not sure about that "I feel like strokin everybody...stroke me Billy...strike me darling!"...I didn't listen again but I think the "strike" should be "stroke" to be stroke me Billy, stroke me. But like I said I didn't review to make sure.

wow totally missing the point dude...
this is a brilliant thread...very original....the commentary on Love You Live is as important as the music...really sets it apart from other Stones projects. You get to see a more personal perspective.....great thread...between the songs indeed!

The recording is from London. so no reason for him to be speaking to anyone in French.

Very enjoyable thread, "forcing" me back into putting on the album.
Originally I could follow maybe 60% of what the guys (mostly Mick) were saying, but my goodness ... Crackin' Up is sooooo damn, f*ck*ng, f*ck*ng GREAT!smileys with beer

"Let's go" (or actually, "Les' go") was a line used by Steve McQueen in every episode of his TV series Wanted Dead Or Alive. As far as catchphrases go, it's sort of a under-the-radar one, as is Mick's little nod to McQueen by starting the song that way.

I've always heard "It’s the bottom pincher, it’s the bottom pincher from last night"

as

"It's the bottom picture, it's the bottom picture from last night" - as if he was referring to the day's press stories ....

anyone know what he says during iorr...........there's a part where I keep thinking Mick says...."Getting natty dreddy...........(to keith I guess......3.34

It does sound like that is what he says that one time. God - is that about the most fantastic version of IORR ever?

But earlier someone has Jagger saying "Do the horrendous to that if you can". That just doesn't make any sense.
Maybe he is saying something about "in the back"
it is “tune the marimbas to that if you can!!!”
