One way would be to have him as a guest, doing his guitar solo number alone on stage - with pyros and all..
I doubt Ace would settle with that, though.

DandelionPowdermanYes, and with a separate introduction for Ace.Quote

Do you have Ace replace Tommy for that song?
Then, back to Tommy again. Corny, but it could work..
Not exactly that, but being 34 and playing guitar and bass, I'd love either playing like Gene or getting a bassist who can deliver those lines with that sound.Quote

Does anybody grow up saying "I wanna play bass like gene Simmons"? If so..why?

Picked up tickets for Vancouver via Amex presales. Lower bowl endzone, $99 Cdn plus service charges so $250 Cdn for 2, pretty reasonable.
All these bands announcing farewell tours are doing great as far as ticket sales go. Paul Simon, KISS, Seger, Elton. If Elton came to Vancouver and it wasn't announced as his farewell tour, I'm sure he would sell out Rogers Arena but since it's his farewell, 2 shows sold out.
I've seen Ozzy a number of times...Quote

Ozzy is playing MSG as well. Trying to figure out whether I think that is worth it. Have always wanted to see him and never got around to it. Really wanted to go to the Sabbath farewell but once Bill Ward wasn't involved I lost interest. I would have gone to see the 4 original members, but once that thrill was gone I couldn't bring myself to go.

Ticket sales don’t look that awful in most markets. I’m going to the Columbus show and it looks like it should be pretty filled up. Some shows are having trouble selling those “aisle seats” that are priced higher. Look for that more in the future from TM. Charging more for aisle seats.
Oh yeah!Quote

Ozzy tickets went on sale Friday for Vancouver as well as Seger, both on their farewell tours. Now I see Iron Maiden is coming back to town right after Labour Day! 2019 is going to be an expensive year as far as concerts go.
It'll be really expensive if the Stones announce a BC Place show!
You especially don't want to miss THIS tour...I mean, look at this spectacle!Quote

DGA-Don't skip Maiden, you'll regret it! Hopefully going to catch the Stones and Maiden in Chicago this Summer. KISS-I'll wait to see if there is a Peoria show added in legs 2 or 3.

Yeah, it's Spinal Tap, but still awesome (at least to me).
Maiden always play 6-7 new songs when they tour on a new album, and it can be tedious for casual fans, particularly when the songs are so long.Quote

I just saw Maiden in 2016 in Van, so I was a bit surprised they're touring again so soon. Only thing I didn't like about that show was so many new songs. First saw them in 82 opening for Scorpions. Got my Number of the Beast album autographed by all, including the Clive Burr. Saw them again in 83 with Saxon and Fastway opening. Didn't see them in 87 when G'n'R opened. Saw them again around 2000 with Queensryche and Halford. One surprising thing is the last 2 times I've seen them, they didn't play Run To The Hills!

Detroit Rock City, however, is genius. that one kills.
oh they got a couple of ab explosive fun things.
i used to really actually get excited if they were gonna be on TV;
rarely when super hot they'd make a Variety show or Awards show
kind of appearance. I loved the whole Kabuki (sp?) aspect; the brilliant
life-size space cartoon but just three loud guitars and the guy who
COULD sing playing drums. why oh why that guy didn't get a kitty litter
company going when he was hot and just clean up kitty litter style
i'll never know...
well maybe someday i will know.
if you see him, ask him for me.
tell him Beth and Detroit rock cit tell the whole Kiss Story
aside from that they want to party cold gin party cold gin party cold gin party all night cold gin party all night cold gin all night 3 fricken years a farewell tour? great. i notice two fresh press releases every day and there's nothing going on yet; i am looking to see if amazon has a bubble where nothing electtronic can get through...
3 years eh? three years of this? whoa
