Very cool....
Taking it where the conversation will go anyway.
Wonder who's guesting on who's recording? Or..??

"Look who’s hanging out together these days! It’s always nice to see one of the originals back at the studio and an honor when we get to host other musical legends."

Hopefully some more of this...

From 2010: Jerry Lee Lewis ft. Mick Jagger - Dead Flowers

From 2006: Jerry Lee Lewis ft. Mick Jagger & Ron Wood- Evening Gown

And maybe Keith will show up like he did in 2006: Jerry Lee Lewis ft. Keith Richards - That Kind of Fool

And in 2010: Jerry Lee Lewis ft. Keith Richards - Sweet Virginia

And Ronnie again in 2010: Jerry Lee Lewis ft. Ronnie Wood - Mean Old Man

Like opening a can of worms, did I miss anything?

Oh yeah, from 1983 - the entire video is great, but Keith steps in around the eight minute mark: Jerry Lee Lewis - A Salute To The Killer! ft. Keith Richards (1983)

Looking at this pic it's hard to believe Mick is only 8 years younger than the Killer !

Mick always seems to be doing something mysterious in Tennessee (remembering his trip to Nashville watching a punk band and going bowling with Jack White). grinning smiley Good job finding the additional pics, Cristiano!

After his day at Sun, he was obviously out on the town: Mick at Blues City Cafe with Bobby Blue Bland's son

I didn't want to keep editing my previous post, so here's what Rodd Bland had to say about tonight's encounter:

So I was 5/6 years old my first & only encounter with #MickJagger. He sat in with my dad #BobbyBlueBland and had his harmonica. I was playing double drums if you could call it that next to my brother #TonyColeman. Mick blew his harmonica right in my left ear. I was a bit warm about that. Years later I grow up to realize just not how awesome it is to have a father like I do but the experience of having Mick Jagger on a stage that I was on too. So tonight thanks to my #BealeStreet family of @bluescitycafe I got the chance to share that story with Mick. However he shared his stories of loving my pops, and speaking so highly of him and taking a break from his evening to seriously engage me in conversation. Thank you Mick! You truly are a rock icon, gentleman, & much like @therealbuddyguy one #BMF

(Btw Buddy Guy got a lifetime achievement award at tonight's Americana Music Awards.)

I always thought it was a great pity Mick never recorded a duet with Bobby Bland.

Well, hate to say it, but Jerry Lee's got better skin!

Recall a TV interview from the 1980s, 20/20 or something like that, Jerry Lee's reclining on a sofa saying he'll be out there when he's 90, and the interviewer Geraldo or some such other TV interviewer (they're really all the same!) says, "You're crazy!" The interviewer said it, exclaimed it in fact, twice.

Can't remember the interviewer's name, but I know the name Jerry Lee Lewis.

And, of course, he'll be out there when he's 90...

...burying all those old naysayers who said he was crazy!

He did not have a life like Mick had. Compared to Jerry Lee Lewis I suspect Mick is a virgin choirboy !

It's not a Rolling Stones-song, but it's up there with the best of the solo country-tunes - like Ragtime Annie (Lillie's Bordello) and Robbed Blind, imo.

i think Mick's studio version is one of the lovliest things he's ever done.
I've a super-special part of my heart where that kind of stuff lives.
that's a damn fine song. damn good song and he nails it convincingly and authentically enough for me.
I dig that people respect and honor it; and cover it; and I've listened to a lot of those when I could find them,
and none of them were important to me.
Mick's 'stonesish' (unavoidably and here's to that) version
is a real top (admitted guilty pleasure) lovely stunner for me; hits hard and deep im that soppy way that good country does. great, great work.

Maybe they're reading the same sources as us, but on any case...

Mick Jagger & Jerry Lee Lewis Were In Memphis At Sun Studios Yesterday

"You never know who you'll bump into walking around Memphis! Mick Jagger and Jerry Lee Lewis were in town yesterday at Sun Studios. They were spotted sneaking out the front door of the studio to avoid the crowds and getting into their limo. Check out the picture below! Everyone is trying to figure out why they were here, and what I'm hearing is that Mick Jagger's movie company is thinking about producing Peter Guralnicks books "Careless Love" and "Last Train To Memphis!"

Sir Mick Jagger and Jerry Lee Lewis walk into Sun Studio Wednesday. That’s not the start of a joke. Variety has reported that Jagger’s film company has signed on to the Elvis biopic being made from Peter Guralnick’s definitive two volume biography of the king. You connect the dots or don’t – who knows if there is a connection? Yes, but they aren’t talking.
