Hi all. I realize that Charlie is a very private person who shuns all publicity when not working, and I respect that. While I have seen many photos of him and family members, I have yet to (to my knowledge anyway, and I've been a fan many years now) see any photos of his sister, Linda. Anyone out there have a different experience? If so, I would love to see a photo to satisfy (no pun intended) my curiosity. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds. Have a good one. ><

While it's always fun to see family, it's worth remembering she's a regular person with a family of her own. Her privacy is up to her to manage. No bodyguards or PR people to guide her. Consequently, her anonymity is important. Makes complete sense when you think of it that way.

Yes, Mr. Dijon, while I truly appreciate that (I am not an idiot by any means, I assure you), I do not appreciate your condescending response to my query. As a long-time fan, I merely wondered if there was a public photo (past or present) of this private woman that I was not aware of. I was not by any means abdicating the invasion of her (or anyone else's) right to privacy, celebrity or no. Unlike yourself, I would never so arrogantly presume such a thing about a perfect stranger (myself) who posted a harmless request on a message board. Have a nice life.

I didn't mean to appear condescending nor did I think you were trying to invade her privacy. I understood completely being curious about her and have likewise wondered if I'd unknowingly seen her in any photos or footage. My comment was meant to convey that her privacy is doubtless the reason why she chooses to remain anonymous.

Condescending is when I use small words or pictures to help convey meaning. The first post was an attempt to be polite.

Charlie's sister, who?

Does Charlie have a sister? First I've heard of this. I thought he was an only drummer.

What instrument does she play?

I know the name Charlie Watts, because he's the Stones drummer.

That's all I want to know.

I realize "the boys" have family, but what does that have to do with the music?

I know that Mick has a daughter named Georgia May, and she poses for photos.

But you can't see photo posing on a Stones recording.

You can't even see Charlie posing for a photo on a Stones recording.

Maybe "Linda" can form a band called "Sisters of Stones".

But I'll still be listening to their brothers.

Oh well...

"I thought he was an only drummer" was a good one.

At the 2014 gig in Madrid I got talking to a woman in front of stage area who was a relative of Charlie.
She did tell me, but I honestly can't remember the family connection.
She had the VIP badge things and had some young grandchildren with her.
Talking about football, music, The Stones etc. and she said that the family were chatting to Charlie just half an hour before.
Don't think she was Charlies sister as probably too young, but could have been his niece maybe.
Her husband didn't say much, but she was a very nice lady.
