How about an anti-Christmas album about groupies, hookers, hoes, butter, debauchery, and stray cats? lol

I've always taken satisfaction (ha) in the fact that the Stones never released a Christmas album. I love Christmas and I love the Stones, but a Stones xmas album would bum me out, ever so slightly....kind of like when Bob Dylan released his. I love Bob, and I love Eric Clapton as well, but I won't be buying either album. "Run Rudolph Run" really works for me, though. It felt like more of a continuation of Keith's love for Chuck.

That would be a nice addition to my Christmas album collection. I have only one so far, Dylan's (plus one single, quess by who). I will pass Clapton's, sorry Eric.

Bob's "Must be Santa" is a Christmas classic in my house.

Well Bob's Christmas album made us all laugh when I played it last December. Not necessarily for the right reasons though.

Well it was only intended as a joke but............

Let's be honest. If they did release such an album you'd all go out and buy it - FACT

And you'd probably all expect them to tour behind it - FACT

And you's probably all get upset when they didn't play any of the tracks live. FACT

Personally I could not stomach this. I HATE all Christmas albums for some reason, even though I like carols. The thought of rock musicians/bands doing albums just for Christmas though, yuck.

Should The Stones do one, I'm of this band forever.

Perhaps, in the absence of a new album, the group could put out a Christmas record for Fans only.
Like The Beatles did for their Club members each year 1963-69.
I've still got the 1969 disc, may be worth a bit of money.
The Stones could go one better and personally sign each copy.

Well, the Beatles Christmas records are hardly great music to listen to.

A whole record of Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie mumbling inane Christmas themed comments is mind blowing!

TSMR was like a Stones/Stoned Christmas album when it came out.

Hey 35Love, that Twickenham vid is pretty cool! It was filmed from pretty much where I was in the Stadium, now I'm having mad flashbacks!

If only my eyes could zoom like his camera!

An escape... like a trip?

Re: Stones Christmas album............

I can't speak for any other than myself. I only had in mind an escape from traditional sentimental Christmas feelings.

I bought the album a short time before Christmas in 1967, when it became available for me. But I did not think about it in a Christmas context. I never will do so.

Somehow, back then, we discovered that if you sped up that weird noise at the end of side A to 45 or 78 r.p.m. that it was "We wish you a merry Christmas" ...
