Love the interaction between Mick and Charlie at the beginning of the song cool smiley
And Mick's "I've never played that before." comment. Amazing talent.

Thanks for posting!

I like Charlie's comments at the beginning of that clip - he's a very honest man.

"When you cover songs, invariably they're not as good as the originals. We've done great cover versions"

Mick seems a bit heavy handed with the slide at first, but his vocals are great throughout, and once the tune gets fully flowing with Charlie and Keith it's smooth sailing.
And once Ronnie finally steps in - even adding a few tasty and subtle slide licks, overall it's a great performance.

A little clip for you, 35Love. This is how rehearsals often sound like, for the fans. Outside of Telenor Arena, Oslo in 2014 smiling smiley

Seriously?

Who other than a few nerds and completists are going to buy a couple of cds of half-arsed rehearsals?

And rehearsals from a time when the shows themselves were pretty ropey at that

What next? Silkcut78's 'bathroom tape' from the Matthias-Keller in Vienna in 1982 of Keith and Ronnie harmonising on 'Sea of Love' whilst having a piss?

grinning smiley

Of course, new original material is the holy grail.
In the meantime please please please
Toronto Rehearsals 2002 as reported Bjornulf IORR July 22- Aug 14 2002:
Dance
Slave
I Get A Kick Out Of You
Undercover
Torn and Frayed
Turd on the run
Cherry Oh Baby
Winter
Mannish Boy
Hand Of Fate
Ain't to Proud to Beg
Salt of the Earth
Hip Shake
Dance Little Sister
Going To A Go Go
Hoochie Coochie Man
Neighbors
Walk Don't Look Back
Blinded by Rainbows

If two or three of these turned out to be glorious it would be worth it. But I'll take the whole set. Gazza can sit in the toilet listening to a rehash of this last tour. A handful of these songs beats ANY Stones setlist in the last two decades.

I agree. However,ANY Stones setlist in the last two decades probably is stretching it out a bit.

But,I would say that I would rather hear these rehearsals versus ALMOST any Stones setlist from the last 15 years.

It's not scraping the bottom of the barrel at all. These are NOT some unfinished outtakes. These are songs (for the most part) that made the cut on albums which ended up at the top of the charts or close to the top.

And the rehearsals are not all rough. Most of them get to the point .... after a few takes where they are at least on par (performance wise) with material that does end up in the live concerts.

Anyway, the "Stripped" album has live rehearsals and it worked out quite well.

Lastly, what has sold recently?
Blue & Lonesome
our band, The Rolling Stones, playing current, live, non warhorse already multiple released songs.
Our boys playing live, something different yet familiar.
Group the songs by albums, have newbie fans go back to the album to hear to official original recorded track.
Mick released 2 songs audio quick like seemed doable in 2018
Jayz Beyonce drop when they damn please.

God bless The Rolling Stones
we just want to keep partying —
