I had a cool, thick Stones songbook with a drawing based on the Mick/Keith (in his snazzy jacket and scarf) photo, that helped me to learn so many songs on guitar as a youth.

I always loved the cover and photos (semaphore in white suits) of B and B. So evocative and wasted.
Does anyone know the story of these? Where were they taken? Are there more 'outtakes'?
After the beach photos, and funky vibe of the album, I was always so surprised to find out that it was recorded in Germany!

A favourite of mine too. What a pity that the '94 Virgin cd hasn't got the picture of the moon shining through the clouds that was on the original vinyl label. Or the lyric sheet that came with the album.

Taken by Hiro. There is the alternate cover photo with Keith and Ron shot from the front with the scarves. And then there are those great photos of individual Stones; with Mick in a blue shirt, and Keith looking very haggard. I'd post them but not sure what program to use anymore.
I have always though that the inside photo of the 5 Stones tracing figures with cigarettes, seemed to mirror each one's personality.

How anyone can not like these is beyond me! As a young, new fan for me in the early 90s, these photos summed up what the Stones were perfectly.

Mick looked so old on this cover. I first saw it as a board at a gable in Bogstadveien, Majorstua, Oslo 1976.
