I'm going to Doncaster. We have a hotel booked but I think he finishes early, so might drive home .According to Doncaster racecourse site he's on from 16.50 to 18.20 ?

sc uk

That would be about right. Once the last race has finished, it would normally start.

If you are into the BB take a listen to the new recording with the London Phil Orch. Really great.

If you're into the BBs don't listen to that horrible orchestral album. Why would you want to meddle with Brian's instrumental perfection?

Just got back from Doncaster to Brum, and just to say had a fantastic weekend. Brian Wilson was very enjoyable and really enjoyed the concert.

It's automatic when I
Talk with old friends
The conversation turns to
Girls we knew when their
Hair was soft and long and the
Beach was the place to go
Suntanned bodies and
Waves of sunshine the
California girls and a
Beautiful coastline
Warmed up weather
Let's get together and
Do it again

I saw him in Berlin on Thursday, and I was ... shocked to see him in that condition.
It was great to see him play all these songs, but it was sad to watch him.
At times he scratched his face from forehead to the chin, yawned and
barely moved/played. His vocals were always in time, but without any timbre anymore.

But the people love him and he feels that.

The star of the evening was Blondie Chaplin, btw. Wild Honey!

To be honest, I am sure he walked off on crutches?

He had back surgery in May.

Yes, I was at Doncaster also ...after watching the horses of course.
When Brian came on stage it was reminiscent of the latter years of the great Muhammad Ali, i.e being physically supported wherever he went. Only in this case it wasnt due to Parkinson's, but I believe a serious back problem. Very sad though.

Otherwise, I concur with the comments above. Pretty much all the songs were from pre 1970 though interesting to see the number of people in the audience who were not even born then.Pure nostolgia trip really with Brian getting a lot of support from his eleven piece band.I thought Al Jardine was in fine form and Blondie also very good.
As with The Stones, would hope he can get back into the studio. Seems odd that for someone who was supposedly not happy with live performances (certainly in the late 60s), he is still on the road, rather than being creative in the studio. But then he must know his best work is well behind him....well 50 years if we are really honest.
It's all show biz!

I only saw him sitting.
He was already sitting when the curtain opened -
until the final curtain came.

This was right at the end of the concert, but I did sink a few bottles of wine by then.
