Wonder if Buffalo will be added.
Pretty sure the chances of any Zip Code city getting a show are slim to none.

They played Dallas-FW as the sole Texas date on Zip Code. I'm liking my chances for Houston this time.

FYI MisterDDDD - The rumor above I posted seen is Miami 4/20, Jax 4/24 and Jazzfest 4/27. And Doug from shidoobee also had jax for
4/24 - but who knows. I would also think that jazzfest would want the Stones playing on a weekend, even w the extra day added - unless they want to dedicate that Thursday to the Stones.

The fairgrounds already gets very crowded on the Saturday & Sundays.
I think having the Stones on the weekend would be too overwhelming.
A seperate day just for the Stones would make more sense.
Then again, they could just play the Superdome?
Who knows?
Either way, more Rolling Stones in 2019 is a gift and a blessing!

Yeah, the southeast dates will need some fine tuning..
The Miami 4/20 then Jax 4/24 makes sense..

But I gotta believe the extra Thursday date for JF pretty much has to be the Stones if they are playing it. For a lot of reasons (many I listed before finding out about the extra date), the crowds at JF are "too tough" already. The Stones will bring people to the festival as it looks like the concert will be part of it, and by adding an extra day, likely just for their concert, it's a win, win.

If you read the press release, they’re adding Thursday to both weeks and calling it locals day. With a Louisiana ID you can purchase up to 2 tickets for $50 both days. I also think that they would play on a weekend and not a Thursday and that they’re adding these extra 2 days to generate revenue to pay the stones guarantee. I’ve been going to New Orleans since ‘09 and every time I go down there I always think about how great it would be to see the Stones there.

Oh cool smiley
Whichever day, it will be a blast no doubt.
Tough if it's not a stand alone tho.

I don't think it's crazy for the Stones to headline a standard day at Jazzfest.

They have always had "Locals Thursdays" for the second weekend.
This will be the first time for a Thursday during the first weekend.

I have always gone the second week. The Local Thursdays at the fairgrounds are great.
Easier to move around from stage to stage and no lines for the food!

Also, besides the fairground days, the real appeal of Jazzfest is the late night shows around town.
WIth the Stones in town, there is a lot of potential for "special guests" with the local musicians.

No real surprise for Chicago folks here --- it's either going to be Wrigley Field or Soldier Field.

Bears play at home Sunday at Soldier Field. It will be interesting to see if the tongue logo shows up. Wrigley would be huge but concerts at Wrigley seem to sell out before they even go on sale. Hopping for Soldier Field.

Wrigley Field would be a surprise. They have never played there before.

Would much rather they play at Soldier Field than Wrigley I think.

2 nights at soldier field. Was hoping for wrigley myself, since I’m a huge cubs fan, but have been told by a good friend who works for the Chicago park District- it’s soldier field

Always wanted to hit NO jazzfest - looks like this is the golden opportunity. Accommodations already filling up. Booked a (refundable) room in hostel not too far away for a decent price.

Not only is jazzfest already popular, but it's the 50th anniversary as well. Once - and if - the Stones rumor becomes solid, it will be a serious scrum for flights and rooms (and tickets).

I believe New Orleans is May 2nd. 2 shows in Chicago & Boston. No Philly, they will go to Metlife. I believe a 3rd night will be added to Metlife if tickets sales are good.

Later than the second. Boston should be before NYC in early June. May, after New Orleans could be Houston, then Denver, Chicago and ???

Any news about Toronto? It’ll be 5 years since their last. Would be nice to save a bit on travel costs. Hoping for Vancouver too - Canada only got 1 show in 2015, in Quebec City...

FYI - They just added an extra day to JazzFest for the first weekend.
Normally it will start on a Friday, but they have added Thursday for the first weekend.

My friends that live in NOLA are saying this is to accomodate the Stones.
Seems it would be just a seperate day for them?

Been to JazzFest numerous times, if the Stones are there it will be icing on the cake!
The music, the food, the city, its all great and something you all need to experience!

Thursday is not anywhere near a money maker for Jazz Fest compared to either the first or second Saturday and Sunday. There's been talk about it for a while but since it's the 50th year in 2019, they've added a first Thursday. How people are seeing that as a way to accommodate the Stones is beyond me. The big artists agree to play JF for a set price, they don't get $8 million because they average that on a tour per show.

If the Stones play Jazz Fest they'll undoubtedly make more money than their last visit to New Orleans in 1994 when hardly anyone showed up.

I read it that way as well, but interestingly they list the second weekend as
May 2 - May 5th. May 2nd being a Thursday, and the (reliably) rumored show date, has me back to wondering if it won't be a stand alone show. I'll take the word of those that have attended way more than me, but the financial and crowd logistics there seem potentially difficult.
