Hi Bjornulf, I haven't heard any rumors of a Detroit show at Comerica stadium? What is your prediction?

Hoping for a Detroit show as well, so I can hit them again on this tour.

What about Phoenix AZ?

Is it a possible stop instead of Vegas?

They won't substitute another city for Vegas - they tend to use Vegas for an entertainment industry party and meetings. Unless of course, they lost way too much money in Vegas in 2016 - but I doubt it. In '02, the idea of the Staples NRDC show was born, we don't want them to drop Vegas - they get cool ideas there. smiling smiley

Although, I do think Phoenix is a good possibility this time - they haven't played it in quite a while.

As of right now, there is no massive stadium in *Vegas - chances might be slim for them to play there this time.[www.facebook.com]
If they do decide to do a few arenas maybe they'll play there, and if so hoping for the classic MGM Arena. Smaller, better sound, and all around better vibe.

Speaking of the FREE Staples NRDC concert in Feb.03, I was the lucky recipient of one of those tickets and landed right on the rail of the B-stage!!!
Midnight Rambler at the B-stage directly in front of Keith...one of my favorite Stones moments ever...and it was for free!!!

Also saw a show at American West Arena in Phoenix during the Licks tour and it was hotter than hell, both the weather and the show itself!

Was that Staples show the one Clinton was at? I won tickets to that one!

Yes! thumbs up

Love MGM grand. Haven’t missed a show there in 20 years!

Same here, unfortunately the Stones missed it in 2016 by playing the new T-Mobile Arena instead.

Spring tour could coincides with the 50th New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Quint Davis wants a splashy headliner. Hmmm....

Miami is confirmed.

#Stones2019
Why???

Why not?

It's the biggest/most populated city in Florida.

Strictly speaking that honor falls to JAX, which is so huge that people don't even realize it. Obviously "Greater" Miami is bigger, but 90% of the people there don't care about rock 'n' roll. It seems half the fans at the Stones' Miami shows fly in from Latin America. Miami and Vegas were always my toughest markets, as far as trying to get tickets from scalpers.

There were plenty of tickets for *Vegas '16 officially available for both shows before and after the first show cancellation.
Stubhub price drops the day of the second show at a 75% discount from face value - bought a pair of floor seats for my wife and I for apprx. $250/each, and if memory serves didn't you also do the same?
Or maybe I'm thinking of the massive Desert Trip price drops that everyone was snatching up - including you? Or maybe I'm confusing you with hbwriter ?! Whatever the case, overpriced tickets in both cases resulted in slow sales resulting in the secondary market dumping them as cheap as possible.

I didn't do Vegas '16. But I did the Stones at MGM Grand maybe 4-5 times, and it was always tough. High rollers with their comped tickets. And, as you know, it is just a great little venue.

Ahh ok Dean my mistake - must've been hbwriter I was thinking of (you're both writers!)- I know he was at Desert Trip, but not sure if he was at Vegas.

Anyhow, yes; those MGM shows were fantastic, and seemingly always filled to the brim!
I met Bobby Keys in the casino right after one of those shows rolling the dice at the Roulette table!

Yes. Don't get sucked into the credit card presale hype. The seats are generally sub-par. There will be plenty of availability for stadium shows.

Not if they called it ‘the last time tour’

I don't think the Stones will ever announce a farewell tour.

They played a number of cities like San Diego, Atlanta, Detroit etc in 2015 during Zip Code, and also they did California and LV 2016, so technically it is the larger East Coast cities they have been missing out on. I can't see how they can do a complete big city US tour with 14 shows. May be an East Coast tour. Watch out for stadium teasers...

Is the 14 show concept fixed or is there a chance for more since they have an album to promote. McCartney created a hype by playing secret shows and so on. In 2013 they played 19 shows, in 2015 they did 17 with club shows..

I see your point BV but theoretically they could do

1.Boston
2.New York-2 shows
3.Philadelphia
4.DC/Baltimore/Virginia
5.Atlanta
6.Miami
7.Dallas
8.Chicago
9.Toronto
10.Denver
11.Seattle/Vancouver
12.San Francisco Bay area
13.LA

Uh-oh. I think that’s Bjornulf’speak for
no shows in Cali.

As for Ket’s list up top,
you forgot they are ‘seemingly’ playing multiple shows at certain noted locations,
narrowing down the cities.

The Denver banner has me optimistic that they'll also make a Pacific NW stop (or two).
Seems logical that they would include a couple larger western cities that weren't visited during Zip Code, and haven't hosted them since 2006/7 or longer-
Denver, Seattle/Vancouver/Portland, Calgary/Edmonton et al.

Hoping for a Detroit show as well, so I can hit them again on this tour.

I'd give Detroit (and other cities visited during Zip Code) a zero percent chance of seeing a concert this time around.
Detroit was one of my favorite shows during the Zip Code tour, but there are too many places they haven't played in a decade+ to hit.

Green Bay's Lambeau Field would be a great place for a Stones concert. I saw Billy Joel there last year and it was a great experience.

Columbus was a stop on Zip Code. I don't think Ohio gets looked at this time. It's the large city stop tour this go around and cities and locations that have not been played for a while.

Let's take the clues as such:

Big cities
East Coast
Multiple gigs in Boston, and probably others (the residency concept, less travel)
No LA or Vegas, maybe next time when new stadiums are open August 2020

Try this:

Jacksonville
Denver
Foxborough, more than 1 gig
NYC, more than 1 gig
Toronto, more than 1 gig
Montreal
Philadelphia, more than 1 gig
DC/Baltimore
Miami
Chicago, more than 1 gig

There's 15 shows... heavy East action with multiple shows

Well Mr DDDDD
looks like we’re left in the cold again
(or will be cold during a show)
Based on TKinOH updated list
where to go? :-(
Edit oops maybe that sounds like we’re going to a show together, we’re not
we ended up a The last greatest show Twickenham hanging out

IDK about this USA tour plan!

Quebec was played 2015.

Re: The Rolling Stones North America Tour 2019

Jacksonville on 4-24, based on rumor from Stonesdoug
Denver, weekend of 5-4, based on that glorious banner w dates from BV
Foxborough, week of 5-10 thru 18, based on the Patriot cheerleaders' routine and BV's dates

The rest is purely speculation on my part!

I dig tryin' to guess...

Toronto is a big market and they have a good stadium. Montreal, maybe not so much. Can't see the Stones doing the Olympic Stadium in MTL. No matter how much I love that city! smiling smiley

Bjørnulf has frequently mentioned Canada, so...
