Hope it is a arena ,& stadium tour which means two stages. How possible is that.

Considering the few days the band takes between 2 shows these days, using 2 different designs would be an additional cost. Won't happen IMHO

4 million (can't remember if that's quid or dollars) has been mentioned for the band.

15,000 capacity arena = $267 per ticket just to cover the Stones guaranteed min
50,000 capacity stadium = $80 per ticket just to cover the Stones guaranteed min

Strongly suspect for this reason alone any shows will be outside/big (per parts 1 and 2 of No filter here in Europe/UK)

There are already two "No Filter" stages, both designed to be able to be easily scaled down for arenas.

Okay folks how many shows do you think the boys should do in North America next year. I would like to see 6 to 8 cities. If this has been discussed my apologies.
As many as I can handle... 468 is about right...and lots of NEW SONGS!!

They will set the record for highest grossing/small market tour ever with this routing!

If it's stadiums, this is my prediction of what the tour will probably look like;

Washington D.C.- FedEx Field
Philadelphia- Lincoln Financial Field
NYC- Metlife Stadium (possibly 2 nights)
Boston- Gillette Stadium
Toronto- Rogers Center
Chicago- Soldier Field
Cleveland- First Energy Stadium
Houston- NRG Stadium
Denver- Sports Authority Field
Seattle- CenturyLink Field OR Vancouver- B.C. Place
San Francisco- Levi's Stadium
Los Angeles- Rose Bowl seems to be the preferred stadium for concerts lately.
Phoenix- University of Phoenix Stadium
Atlanta- Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Possibly in the prairie region of Canada, like Edmonton

Mainly just basing that off of what the biggest cities are, where have they not been in over a decade, and what areas do most other stadium tours hit these days?

It's time to hit Asia. HKG, Singapore, Bangkok, Saigon, KL, Jakarta and why not toss Phnom Penh in there. Mick has been to Cambodia several times as a tourist....

Other options:

Miami- Hard Rock Stadium
Charlotte- Bank of America Stadium
Montreal- Stade Olympique
Cincinnati- Paul Brown Stadium or Great American Ballpark (I'm a Homer!)
New Orleans- Mercedes Benz Superdome
Salt Lake City- Rice-Eccles Stadium (remember BV's mention in 2015)

Lotsa choices, and contracts already on the table I'd imagine!

I believe crater #3 on the light side of the moon is available....it holds 421,594,043,026,076 people so maybe if they charge $900,00,000 each person they can break even...looking forward to THE STONES TOUR OF THE MOON!

Same as 14 on fire. used it for 3 tours (I believe) Zip code, Ole Ole

They won't play New Orleans if they tour NA.

Levi's stadium would be nice. They were supposed to play there on the 2015 tour but it was dropped in favor of North Carolina for some reason. Anybody have any info on why this happened. Simple logistics?

Would be surprised if they play Sports Authority in Denver. They haven’t played Denver since 1 arena show in 2005, if they didn’t find enough demand for a stadium in ‘05/06, or any appearances at all from ‘12-‘18, it’s difficult to imagine 80,000 Colorado Stones fans suddenly materializing next year.

I might make it over for a couple of shows. It’s a pity the US is so spread out unlike this little island across the sea where I could get to all 8 shows with a few hours of travel by land - 1 in the case of Cardiff.

The US and Canada are a big and reliable market for them so it’s no surprise they’d go back there 4 years after Zip Code.

It's hard to believe they could sell out a stadium in Los Angeles at primo prices these days. There's nothing new to sell. It's the never ending Greatest Hits tour, unless the new album has turned back time 30 years.

True.
But when you travel overseas for the shows, take time off work, pay hotels etc., a two week visit is a reasonable time frame to try to catch multiple shows (I was able to do four in the UK). Depending on the cities in NA, and with rumored multiple shows in some, not much more difficult to catch the same amount of shows in that time frame with similar (or even less) travel time..

Los Angeles will be tough to sell out even if tickets are priced reasonably AND there's a new album that has turned the clock back 30 years - there's too many other alternatives for entertainment in L.A. for them to gouge fans too much. And no matter what the price, expect lots of discounts, price drops, selling tix via Costco, Groupon, etc. and scalpers getting stuck with inventory. But there's no way will they be as high as *Vegas '16 which were the highest priced US tickets ever maxing out at apprx. $800 for floor and all lower level - it was robbery. And even though it was an arena, they had trouble selling tix resulting in massive official price drops and scalpers desperately dumping tickets. In one sense it benefits those who are patient and/or on the fence, but why not make the tickets reasonable to begin with?

I love this old game of "they'll never sellout ____"

The season starts earlier and earlier, and the naysayer team has never won a season, just a few odd games here and there.
But you gotta give it to 'em.. they keep with the same old strategy regardless. cool smiley Bless their hearts.
