Thanks dead.flowers...i would have been gutted to be late for a good spot and its my first time with standing field tickets for years and years...awww how i do miss the good old days of camping out the whole day with the other fans...oh well times are changing and im getting older, thats how it goes i suppose...

since curfew is half another later than in the Uk I wonder of they do a song more (i.e. 20 songs like last year in Europe). At least I hope they do

Got here last night, H2 hotel Alexanderplatz, full of Stones fans. Been to Dussman and met a load of people in the shop. Marcelo we meet again !! Having a beer in the Hofbrau Munchen Wirthaus just down from the hotel, beer in hand, oompah band playing. Great warm up for tonight. It's also stopped raining and forecast is good for tonight. We're lucky, lucky people.

The majority will stand but that's not the point. With GC seated there will be far fewer people in there than if standing in a free standing GC without seats so far fewer obstructions to sightlines fro those in the front of GA. Also, there will be a substantial gap between the GA Rail and the last row of GC seats which helps too. Much better than front row GA with normal free standing GC in front, where peope often stand at the very back.

Yep. There always are for the Stones in Germany nowadays Yours for a bargain 239, 349 or 499EUR. GA is 112 EUR and there are still tickets.

Those presale tickets really were the worst seating tickets. That’s a big middle finger to the fans. Really taking advantage of the ticket buying stress...
In Manchester we were sitting almost behind the stage.
Twickenham not much better, now this...

Has anyonever discovered a preshow bar on route to the stadium ? There seems to be nothing nearby for a meet up.

Hi SC,

I was at the Licks Show there in 2003. From memory, a good bet might be just going somewhere in the City near an S-Bahn station and getting on one when you want to head for the stadium. As you would expect for the german Capital, public transport is excellent. Hakescher Markt has plenty of nice bars.

as far as I remember the warning has been there from the beginning.

I wouldn' t worry to much. This is usually because of the railing, Standing people in GA or possible foodstands right in front of you. As you can see on the image I posted before there shouldn' t be any problem that can' t be fixed by simply standing up. I remember some concerts in Munich where we had beerstands with roofs. That's annoying. But judging from the image posted and this video from GNR this is most likely not the case in Berlin.

In general I would advise not to choose seats that far below. Especially with a ticket dealer like eventim that lets you precisely select your seat.
Always check the stadium in google maps and street view to get an impression of possible total nosebleed seats before you buy. Things to look out for are.

Low stadium roofs like in manchester. Big steel fences in the opposing team section. Screens that might partial block the view in the upper stands.

Curfew Berlin is 23:00 i.e. 11pm. Show start expected to be around 20:50 i.e. 8:50pm.

I expect them to do the same set as in UK i.e. two hours with 19 songs.

Can you go to the ticket office? Go there and see if you can change them in/ buy an upgrade.
