That was Croatia's first goal, Keithsman. And it was perfectly legit. The English side didn't make a protest. Did you watch the game?

Best of luck to Croatia, i said to my work mates that they could be the dark horses at the start of the tournament.

Gutted England lost, but the better team won in the end.

England played a better game until the Croatian equalizer. From then on Croatia levelled the game and gradually took over. England didn't stand the test. They looked very bleak in injury time (2x15).
They couldn't sustain attacks. Hence they lost. Maybe hard to accept. But never the less true.

Thought Croatia's first goal should have been disallowed, very high kick near heads in the penalty area, referee decisions all went Croatia's way after the second half.
Gutted but hope Croatia go on to win it now.

Usually, this kind of action is considered as "dangerous".

I'm not sure of the explanation but maybe referees on the ground and in Moscow deemed that Mandzukic was a little bit faster than the English defenser so there was no bad intention, he just played the ball.

Yep, Jpasc95. He was faster to the ball. I guess that is how the referee judged it. And the ball wasn't that high. The defender had to bend down to make the header.

sorry, it was not Mandzukic who scored the "Kung Fu" goal but Perisic.

Stoneage, on the video, I'm not sure that the English defenser Walker bended down to the ball...just have a better look.
Perisic was a little bit faster for sure.

Okey, Jpasc95. In the end it was a referee decision.

If my memory serves me right you played several epic battles: argentina, denmark, russia, england, argentina. you deserved to reach the final.

But France will play against a knackered team after so many wasting matches.

I believe Croatia might be pretty tired but they're in final and will be get-up-and-go to win.

Come on France !!

They also have a solid winning mentality. They are setting out to win on Sunday and nothing less. Not like the 4 nations of the UK who seem to revel in glorious failure. My own Scotland are about the worst for it but England aren't so different. Failure when presented with a realistic opportunity is failure.
