Right now there is probably nothing more in the whole world the guys on the four remaining teams want to than play for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP... and probably nothing less they want to do than play in that match to decide 3rd and 4th place.
The intensity for this World Cup right now is in the air... I can feel it.

Been quite charmed by England's approach to this world cup. They have went about things in a great way. Southgate has built up a good thing.
Quite a confusing thing to be a Scotsman that feels a bit of empathy for the England team.
Pure and simple, they deserve to be where they are in this world cup.
Uruguay are dirty bastads.
It's a mystery wrapped up in an enigma.
William Wallace would have a heart attack.
It reminds me of when I watched Celtic v Man City.
Being an Aberdonian/Aberdeen fan, I quite dislike septic/smeltic.
However, their sheer grit and go for it attitude made me a lil fan for those two games.
Business as usual once they were over though.

Seen the game now. In hindsight: Sweden had two really good chances. Their goalie made two qualified saves on those. In the end that is what makes the difference.
Swedish marking on their second goal was awful though. I wonder what happened there?

Everyone speaks so lightly about Belgium! They have defeated Brazil ! Belgium was always the 'underdog'. Watch out guys!

I like most of these finalists for the most part.
It's amazing how a team can look so good in one match, such as Sweden vs. Switzerland or Mexico and then, have a hard time like yesterday. It happens quite a bit. Colombia were very good for some games but were largely shut down vs. England.
I feel for Uruguay, they really played good and only lacked Cavani in that last game vs. France. They are a very sporting clean-playing team. You know, there are some ugly moments and teams that play like that often.

Teams can NOT look beyond the semi-finals...all 4 of these teams would be deserving champions, I don't even want to jinx anyone.... I have my ideas and I'll keep 'em until the next 2 matches are done.

Since, I watched the 1986 World Cup near on Mexican TV mostly, they carried the Red Devils games when they had Cuelemans and the Pfaff brothers I believe. I really liked them though I think the '86 World Cup and '90 World Cup had a lot of draws, they fine tuned the rules to get fewer draws.
So, here, Netherlands miss the World Cup; but a very good if not great Belgian team are there.

Yep, Big Al. It struck me when I wrote the last sentence. But never let facts interfer with a good line as some journalist said a while ago... And do forgive me for not rooting for England in football. It's a bit strange really since I'm an anglophile at heart. I Like most things with England, and Britain. Always had. Maybe it's the cockiness of the British press that turns me off. They already think they have won it. Or something like that...

It's the first time I enjoy watching the WC....why because my country Holland doesn't play so I can watch all the games with any frustration if they loose or win....although I would love if my southern neighbors would win....go Belgium if not my other neighbor go England and then last but not least France...................
