1971 live versions of Satisfaction; Open G or no??
Date: June 13, 2018 05:30

I'm not an insanely skilled guitarist (about only 2 years of experience, i'm still quite young), but i'm usually pretty good at figuring out when Keith is in open g. But, this is one of the few times that I haven't been able to tell. I'd love to hear what everyone thinks since i'm honestly stumped.

here is the Leeds version, but any of performances from the '71 tour will do: [youtu.be]

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

It's a weird version. The melody is totally gone - it's non-existent.

But it swings like hell. Love the sounds thumbs up

Agreed! It's like a completely different song which is why I like it so much. I got kinda burnt out on the traditional renditions of Satisfaction so it's quite refreshing.

It takes the 1969 version and lightens it up a lot.
