Not sure if this has come up in another thread, and perhaps it's a silly thing to speculate on, but Keith hasn't been sporting the ring since London 2. Perhaps his arthritis plays a part of perhaps something happened to it, but it's strange seeing him without it.

It's been discussed in most of the show threads - nobody knows...

Pure speculation:
He had to have it cut off and its being repaired.

Pure speculation Part Two:
He doesn't wear it when he's sober.

On a personal note...
I've got one.
Recently, I had to stop wearing it because it started to freak me out.
Bad mojo.

As a guitar player - and a spring chicken compared to Keef - I'm just guessing that it's a pain in the ass and heavy to wear while playing. Why complicate things for himself at this point?

I have one in white gold, purchased it years ago but i kept catching it on things, one time it nearly tore my finger off so i don't wear it anymore.
I still have it though, a replica in every way.
Kind of think it's silly now, I've outgrown it, maybe Keith has too

Dennis Rodman borrowed it to wear to Nth Korea .....

I don't think Keith gives a good goddamn about looking or acting grown up at 74, regardless of his relative sobriety.

Seriously cutting back on alcohol over the last couple of years. I think he still indulges in weed regularly.

He did state recently he had 'a ring' cut off. Probably the skull. I imagine it'll show up eventually. He's in the UK at the moment and his jeweler is in London. Perhaps he'll pop by and pick it up on the way back to CT.

His playing was far better on the second half of NO Filter, so it seems to have improved since he lost the ring.
Maybe it way in the way.

During a nightmare/flashback/fall off the wagon, Keith saw the ring-skull come alive: it's countenance laughing, taunting and insulting him; until -- with great pain -- he wrestled the ring from his own bloated arthritic finger and hurled it into the peat bog.

Maybe the ring got tired of Keith? Things change y’know...

I love that ring. It is so Keith. Hope it comes back. Wonder if it was made by King Baby?
