Unused posters and illustrations - 2014/2016

Here's a collection of some unused posters and illustrations for the 14 on Fire Tour, Zip Code Tour and Olé Tour. This is a work of Royal Hue Studio, which was responsible for designing Edinburgh's poster as well some other official posters like Santiago, Dusseldorf and Rome. On their Instagram posts there's a short explanation about where the inspiration for their work comes from. My favorites from that collection: Buenos Aires (La Plata, actually) and Montevideo.

On their Instagram account there's a lot more of great works done for other bands/artists.

Appreciate the kind words and crediting Christiano. I was just logging on to see the response to Edinburgh's merch and came across this post cool smiley It's been an honor to have contributed in some way to their last 5 tours. Blows my mind when seeing the shows listed out like that. Glad you also liked the La Plata litho, it was one of my favorite unapproved gems as well. I admittedly do a lot of research for the city-specific designs to add more authenticity and local connection.

Love the Rome poster I managed to get one after travelling to the gig from uk. Looks fabulous on my wall. More art than a poster really, well done

Montevido is also a favorite of mine.
Also like the simplicity of the Pittsburgh "The Steel City" tongue.

My pleasure RoyalHue, it's great to know you're here. Thank you for posting them on Instagram, and congratulations for your work. The inspiration for the La Plata unused poster it's very well know down here in SA and I thought it was a lovely job, it's a pity it wasn't used for the official litho.

Already did - right away; almost imediately, last year. He kind of stayed ‘official’ about it... stating that he “isn’t allowed” etc.

I assume the unused posters are not available for purchase? They're all killer but I'd love to get that Buenos Aires print! Way better then the official ones they sold. (Cuba is also bad ass!)

Some very amazing artwork here. Dare I say some better than the final product. Anyhow, I hope these and many more would be available in a book someday. That would be great. In the meantime thanks for these nice pictures.

Agree frankotero, some are definitely better than the final product, and not sure what's going on with this tour, but the creativity and quality level seems to have dropped quite a bit for some reason.
