I did by accident before the show during a random walk-around. I found you could get a drink without queuing and, more importantly, my daughter could go to the toilet without queuing.

That was funny. The driver had a radio station on playing a load of cheesy music. On comes Phil Collins and it was your good self who shouted up in unequivocal terms to switch it off. He duly did and a loud cheer went up in the whole bus
I missed my connection out West to where I live near Swindon and ended up roughing it at Victoria Coach Station. Most of the later buses arrived after the last tube out of Richmond. But always worth it for the Stones.

I have fond memories of this gig. I had my sister with me and we scored Pit A (Ronnie’s side) with my LDs. After entering the pit I remember talking to an Irish guy in an identical Tee to my own- the lime green ‘Dublin 2018’ one sold in Penney’s in Dublin. He asked if I was Irish (I’m Scottish) and said he’d had a lucky upgrade to Pit. Yourself by any chance?
Wasn’t I, I was Keith’s side in the pit but did luck out on the ticket for this gig. I was outside the previous gig in Southampton having a toke and a chick in combats and tags and badges etc, came over I assumed to @#$%& me out of it for having a toke, but just commented on the Jesus lizard shirt I was wearing.
We kept chatting and had a cigarette together, I mentioned to her that this was my 4th gig on the tour and I was thinking of changing flights back to Canada to see them in Coventry a 5th time, she asked if I was serious and I said yep I’m honestly considering it. She then informed me she was the ticketing operations manager for the band/tour and said there will be a ticket at the ticketmaster counter for me in Coventry if I did go. Took my info and mobile number etc.
Changed my flight back headed to Birmingham and then Coventry, got to the ticket desk and there was a VIP Lucky Dip ticket in an envelope for me. and right during the first tune she messaged and said I have a pit band if you want it, so I legged it down from the seating area onto the pitch and met the nice lady who gave me the pass.
A really cool lady I have to say. Messaged her a couple of times after to say thanks.
I met a father and son after the first London gig walking back to a hostel we were in. Bang on Scots people. We were talking about the voodoo lounge tour... I wonder if they’re on this board?

It really was no help.
There was a convoy of about 6 buses waiting. Unfortunately there was an accident on the road to the tube and we were held up forever. Many of Those who chose to walk the 2 miles got there before any of the buses. Loads of people on my bus got so pissed off they asked the driver to let them off to walk. The traffic duly eased and the bus started moving freely. Most of the later buses were too late for the last Tube back to the City Centre.
I've had a few shambolical transport calamities in 30+ years of concert travels and that one's right up there

It was a massive exhibition hall, lots of tables/seating, dance floor, food trucks and mobile bars round the edges, a merch stand that shut around midnight (and still had lithos) and a really good DJ. Played lots of stones and other rock. Really good natured, happy crowd (as you'd expect after a great gig), 1000 or so i'd guess. For me and the +1, was a better option than joining 30,000 departing at 10.30pm :-)Quote

There was a pretty good 4 piece covers band playing. I can remember them doing "Are you gonna be my girl?" The guitarist played a telecaster. I was quite drunk by this stage of the evening.. What a night! Even better than Southampton Let's hope Old Trafford is better again.

I flew over from Canada to catch 3 of these shows and ended up at 5, Coventry being the last. Great show to finish my trip on. I cant believe how great the band sounded.
Say what you will, but you cant expect a bunch of guys in their 70's to sound like they did when they were in their 20's or 30's.
These guys can do whatever the @#$%& they want. They invented this stuff, its up to them how long they do it for.
I saw Guns N Roses a few times in the last 2 years and honestly the Stones pissed all over them.
