That roundabout is half s mile from my office and I drive over it twice a day every working day. I’ve done so for the last 28 years. You get used to it. There are several permissible ways of crossing it. Contretemps between motorists are a regular occurrence and ‘hand signals’ are frequently exchanged
It was built in the early 1970s and originally named ‘The County Islands’. But due to the popularity of the Children’s TV programme, it was quickly assigned the nickname ‘The Magic Roundsbout’ and Some years later, that became its official name.
It takes a degree of skill to negotiate it, which you quickly learn with regular use. The 1st time I drove my friend and fellow Scot through it, about 30 years ago, he just about shit himself
