Its not rigged but you have to consider that the world and his wife can cast a vote - And they do - especially his wife and she only knows the hits.

There is no reason to rig the vote, they can play whatever they want and some shows dont bother to do the vote. I imagine they would much rather play Bitch or Virginia than Lets Spend The Night.

It would be better if there was a way of only letting those actually attending the show, get a vote. However I dare say it would be the same outcome as a lot of casual fans go to big shows like this and they only know, care about and want hits.

It would be more meaningful and exciting if they put up some deep cuts of songs that have rarely been played or have never been played live at all - songs off the beaten path.

As quick example off the top of my head:

All Sold Out
Casino Boogie
Hide Your Love
Down in the Hole

Any would be great to hear live, and most casual fans probably wouldn't know one from the other so would probably just pick a random choice.

Love those songs! But how will they sound?

Hard to say unless they take a chance and play them. Maybe good? Maybe horrible?
Would be nice to find out some day.

I think it's absolutely disgusting that they offically announce the winner of the song vote hours before the beginning of the show - please stop it!!!

Unless I'm mistaken (quite possibly), I don't believe they "officially" announce the overall winner before show time.
The individual winners of their social media accounts are "announced", but I believe the overall winner (totals of all their accounts- Twitter, FB and their app) isn't announced until they play it.

Most of the time the Twitter winner will be the overall winner because of the volume of votes, but not always as witnessed in Twickenham and I believe also Edinburgh.

That's why this occurred...
"Twickenham: Bitch (32%), Respectable (16%), Dancing With Mr D (18%), Sweet Virginia (34%) (please note: According to the RS twitter Sweet Viginia won the song vote, but Bitch was performed as the winner!)

*The Twitter polls are designed to automatically declare the song with most votes the "winner".. but obviously doesn't tally other accounts.

2 reasonnable surprises to be played in Warsaw could be :
Faraway Eyes (already submitted to votation, but too obscure to be a winner)
Play With Fire - played at the 1st show last year and nice way to close the tour to bring it back

And Live With Me, not to mention several others that were vote options that never won...I think All Down the line, Rocks Off, and Bitch (?) included
Seems alot of missed opportunities to play so many other great tunes, and instead they have this nonsensical voting system/waste of time.

They should play the winner of their app vote.. seems to be the more hardcore fan have that and vote there.

Either just do the app winner or do the overall winner and app winner.
Bitch won in Twickenham (and was great!) and was also the winner of the app vote.

The low point of this tour for me has been the song vote..stuck in the '60's!!!..(High points ..Midnight Rambler and Fool To Cry).

you can't blame the song vote for being stuck in the 60s. In fact a lot of non-60s songs were in the song vote but only few people voted for them:
- Far Away Eyes
- Angie
- Moolight Mile
- Hearbreaker (4 times !)
- She's So Cold
- Dancing With Mr D
- Respectable (3 times)
- Just My Imagination

Perhaps the reason for that is the above are mainly album tracks from the '70's (except for Angie) versus some of their most popular songs from the '60's (LSTNT ; Cloud etc.).

But Ronnie "paints" the setlist with the voted song well ahead of showtime.
