I have and enjoy Billy Fury, The Sound of Fury. Any suggestions of other albums by Fury and Marty Wilde?

I don't know much about Fury, but one of my favorite one-hit wonder songs is "Abergavenny" by Marty Wilde. It was his only hit here in the States. I remember seeing a music video for the song on "Captain Kangaroo."

Take a look at Wilde duet with his daughter Kim on "Kids in America." Old guys rocking out.

Yes, a nice album. Borderline rockabilly.

I never could get myself to like Cliff Richard. But I like Fury and Wilde. The Sound of Fury can be found on youtube.

Look out for a very new Fury biography by David and Caroline Stafford. Getting some good reviews.
Also BBC4 aired a documentary on his life...may be available on their I Player.

Keith Richards: The Rolling Stone Interview

The Rolling Stones guitarist talks rock & roll, drugs and home life

By Robert Greenfield

"Billy Fury, who did one fantastic album that I've lost. He got it together once. One really good album. Songs he'd written, like people do now, he got some people he knew to play together and did it. His other scene was the hits, heavy moody ballads and the lead pipe down the trousers. They were all into that one."

Yes I remember that song. It's an oldie that slipped through the cracks and you never heard on the radio. Until a few years ago I had no idea of who did it. (thanks Google)
