Keith is the riffmaster every night. The powerful riffs from Keith may be more addictable than heroin.

Keith was on brilliant form on Tuesday. I even bumped into Mrs R when heading back from the mens room and told her so (and was probably very annoying in the process due to the drinks...)

Hadn't seen that clip, yeah Keith is right, in some ways they are getting better, less is more with Keith and that was more than enough to satisfy my Keith fix smoking smiley

Thanks Chuck Berry for this!!

Keith, however, has found his own language of these licks - now sounding dark, dangerous, lean & mean - pure Rock'n'Roll

I love the man!

That's a good little solo...nothing flashy, but gets the job done.

May be Keith did learn a riff or two from Chuck Berry, but I have never seen Keith argue about the payment before starting to play. Also I have never seen Keith leave the show in the middle of the song, because the paid for time was out. I think the Chuck Berry comparison is completely invalid.

There is nobody like Keith. That is one of the reasons why we love the Stones.

If not for Chuck Berry, wondering what kind of guitar playing Keith would have played...
For that matter, wonder what any Rock and Roll guitar player would have played - it certainly wouldn't be the same.
Chuck Berry is the king of Rock and Roll guitar riffage, and Keith has learned it well while taking it to another level.

You can't tell the story of rock'n'roll without Chuck Berry. He's the most important guitar player ever, IMO.

Now, Hendrix may be a GREATER guitarist...he made a quantum leap out of what was possible with the instrument, but rock'n'roll would still exist in some form without him, while Berry is the lynchpin to the genre.

"May be Keith did learn a riff or two from Chuck Berry"

Maybe? MAYBE??

You can criticize Chuck Berry for all sorts of things related to his personal life and business practices, but to claim that Keith's guitar playing was only "maybe" influenced by a lick or two from Berry is ridiculous.

This clip shows you how much better Keith is when the band rehearses longer than a week to ten days like they have done on most of their recent tours! Remember how many shows it took him last summer to get into playing shape?

Ronnie is the king and it seems he does a lot of Keith's old parts. But Keith wrote the songs.
