Well, this brings me into shelvers, every time
How can anybody play like this, despite his problems (Mick Taylor)? It's just so sickening great

What's your favourites?

That's a great effort coming from Mick Taylor indeed. I never cared for Carla Olson's voice or guitar playing though.

You put Jagger singing instead of her and you would get the best Stones since who knows when.

No you get Keith playing with Mick Taylor and Olson and you get the best Stones since who knows when. winking smiley

Fracking hell Taylor is a genius , this is sublime.
Imagine where the Stones would be now if Taylor came back in 89'

The trouble with some of these choices is...

Almost Hear You Sigh is an outtake from Talk Is Cheap.

You may as well nominate Don't Tear Me Up.

Waiting On A Friend is from 1973.

The nicest piece of Rolling Stones music post-1978 was never released.

Because of Don Was.

that is really eat your face right up guitar playing.
i can't abide Carla's voice; and would like to know
the genesis and evolution of him meeting, and working
for/with her. Please if informed fans have any skinny on that, ty.
She must be a true-blue fan and Taylor
is so prime greasy solid soaring blistering well it's the real deal for me....
....ok, where's Charlie and Bill and the other Mick.
The Glims personnel department and key human resources staff must
have been otherwise busy, I suppose; those being such busy days.
it's ultimately sucker-bait every time she comes in tho, for me anyway.

Rubbish singing though, ne c'est pas?

I'd say How Can I Stop, I Go wild, Sparks, One More Time, AHYS and RAAHP and the full albums of ER, TY, Undercover and DW are far superior.

After 1978? That would be about 30% of Emotional Rescue, 95% Tattoo You, 60% Undercover, 1 song on DW and on average 10% - 20% on the albums afterwards. Very hard to take a pick. So, imagine you have to live your rest of your life on an island in the pacific and you can only take 1 song from the Stones with you and it has to be post 1978... An impossible choice but oh well:

Slave

That's a nice one, Rockman, and so is Slave as treaclefingers suggested

But to me, nothing can compare to *some* Mick Taylor gigs of the 80s and 90s

I'm a big Clapton fan, but even HIM can reach Taylor's hights when he's on fire (IMO)

Carla? I like her style, very much.
