How strict / tight was security yesterday ?

As alwayy I'm wondering about my small camera - did they really bother or not ?

Normally London Stadium is quite relaxed in my experience, different than Germany last year ...

Fool To Cry was sublime and delighted that UMT won the vote. They kept the arrangement quite close to the original and even though its was massively different from the Still Life version it was still brilliant.

Fool to Cry was not played on the 81 (/82) tour .. Nor is it on the record 'Still Life'?

Jus noting that.

Note that "Under My Thumb" was played in '81/'82 and is on 'Still Life'. ; )

I showed them my compact camera on the way in and it was fine. I also had a small waist pack and that was fine too.

Correct time for Satisfaction, Brown Sugar and JJ Flash were (about): 6.30, 5.30 and 4.50. Forget what I speculated about.

No issue with my small but bulky camera in my pocket. They did then security pat down. only extremely small purses allowed or small camera cases.. A5 size but I saw ones larger than A5 by a bit.

I'm missing the periscopes - I think depression is settling in.

According to some friends who were at the stadium tonight, the internet connection there was really slow, hence the lack of streamings.

The Stones blew me away last night.
I have seen over 50 gigs in London this year including some big names
but The Stones topped the lot.
Seen them over 20 times since Earls Court and they still rock.
Thankfully they moved Sympathy For The Devil to later in the set
where the red lighting worked better in the darkness.
Not sure why they opened with it in Dublin.
The gigsntic screens were stunning and Mick was on top form.
A few mistakes at the start of songs but who cares.
Plenty of space in the gold circle to move around.

Actual times were
Liam Gallaghrr 7.10pm to 7.45pm
Rolling Stones 8.25pm to 10.30pm
I spotted Jimmy White and Pam Hogg.

A superb show... and nice to meet the great couple over from Philly who were at the same show I caught in Giants Stadium in 2005!

After the show did it take long to get back onto public transport(tube from Stratford I guess) and into central London. Am coming on Friday.

Yes! It's bloody awful. You'll be lucky to reach Central London by midnight. It's quite a long walk to the station for a start. That said, I would still get the tube and not a surface train. You'll get there. 2 posters on here, both IORR Band Members tried to get a surface train and ended up getting a taxi.

I'll be getting a tube to Victoria on Friday.

Very good. You gave him a decade to redeem himself. Did you want him kicked out of the band in 2007?

Well it wasn't a decade it was 5 years, i was so disappointed in Keith in 07' that i said to myself i will never pay to see them again, but come 2012 i was impressed with Keith again, he has wobbled here and there but looks to be hitting his stride again these last two shows and i'm sure he will improve as the tour progresses.

I don't want anyone kicked out but there comes a time when a man should retire, i think Charlie is reaching that time. Just my opinion, you say the sound mix is crap or whatever but the band are Rocking, i think they would Rock even harder if Charlie was able to raise his game.
Strange how Keith can be slaughtered on iorr but no one else in the band.
What I do not understand about your comment is why, what's wrong with Charlie? What does not convince you?

If we're discussing Charlie's drumming I would say you still hear it's him. The difference from say 15 years ago is that he hits the drums lighter, sometimes it's a bit stiff and he doesn't do as many fills anymore, and on rare occasions he misses a beat, like on JJF last night. I think he's overall still a good drummer, it's just that age takes a toll on everyone, we can't expect either Charlie, Keith or Mick to be the same as 15 years ago.

Got to the multi storey car park in 30 minutes which was not too bad but it then took an hour to get out of the car park - poorly organised. A lot of people standing around in high visibility jackets doing nothing!

Super easy walk to the DLR (Pudding Mill Lane stop), and the train arrived within minutes. But my stop was Canary Wharf (where one could connect to Jubilee), so YMMV.
