Flamboyant leather jacket I would call it. Perfect on stage, maybe a bit to much "on the street". But I guess that is depending which street you are talking about.
Maybe a biker would love it? It would make you stand out, anyway. Not the usual black.

Just curious ... does anyone know when was the last time they performed 'Fool to Cry'?

Medley is a horrible thing! Meaningless, you can not kill the songs with a medley. In 75-76 If You Can not Rock Me was not a medley but two songs attacked.

Is it just me but the show the other night in Dublin and now again tonight, Charlies drums sound very weak to me.
Sorry to say but they need a new drummer.
I love you Charlie but it's time to call it a day.

Tell me you're joking...

As i said is it just me ? obviously it is.

In contrast i thought Mick and Keith were great, Keith has started strong and Mick seems to be more into Keith and respectful of his playing , Mick is singing and moving brilliantly, this is all great but i think Charlie might still be having back problems, maybe not, hope he is Ok but the firecrackers are not exploding this time out imho.

Sigh... I can see the Rock & Roll Circus Mick delivering that song as clear as day in my mind.

We've come such a long long way.

This is my favorite band , 50 shows since 1975. I must say, looking at close up shots of these wrinkle old bastards does not interest me in the least. I find full stage shots along with crowd and stadiums shots far more interesting.

thank you for all your hard work.

Yeah. Its just you.

How did you feel when watching some of the trainwreck guitar performances of 2006-07?

Ridiculous comment.

Okey, I hear you. You all hate medleys. I'm the odd guy then. Still I think 9-13 minutes versions of Satisfaction, JJ Flash or Brown Sugar are boring. But I guess that is just me then.

they are. Theres a happy medium, though. And truncated versions shorter than the originals in a medley format isnt it.

I didnt witness versions of those 3 songs in Dublin that were anywhere near as long as what youre suggesting

I don't. I like medleys. And they are very effective. Much less boring than 11 minutes versions of warhorses. You can get 30 medley songs in that time spectrum...

Cool...for a karaoke bar or mini playback show...the allyoucaneat principle

Of course I don't want the whole set to be a medley. One medley is enough. Michael Jackson did them and Diana Ross and The Supremes. And they worked well. Gave energy to the show.
For instance they could do a medley with JJFlash, SF and Brown Sugar. Instead of doing 10 minutes (boring) versions of each. That would also leave 20 minutes for other, less boring songs, in the set.
You would get a 25 songs concert instead of a 19 dito.

I'll take any Stones show with complete worked out songs over a 25 songs concert including a castrated JJF or whatever...

Yes i saw many of those train wreck shows in 07' credit where credit is due keith pulled his shit together since then.

Its just my opinion about Charlie, sorry to offend anyone.

Very good. You gave him a decade to redeem himself. Did you want him kicked out of the band in 2007?

Have you been at either of the shows so far? Or are you basing your statements on Youtube videos with a questionable sound mix?

In all the concerts I saw, I did not see anyone bored when they did those pieces, indeed! When keith starts with his riff the stadium explodes!

You havent offended anyone, mate. I just think its a daft comment based on a youtube video.

I was down front in Dublin the other night. The entire band were on top form, believe me

Just on the train back - scored pit b with my lucky dip. I think this show blew the socks off Dublin (I was also pit b for that).

Sfm as an opener is epic ... please keep it.

Fool to cry was amazing too - they played it great!!

I will not moan one tiny bit about setlists for the rest of the tour - hearing fool to cry and sfm opener has kept me very happy!

Also maybe the sound in the pit tonight was the best I’ve heard in 5/6 pits I think.

The solo is by Ronnie, in fact Keith does not hear much, but it is also the fault of the quality of the audio.

very good show. was in GA, acoustics really depended on the place (changed place few times),better sound going to the end of the field. Stadium was quite full, very mixed audience, very good show. SFM worked very good as the opener. Fool to cry surprise. Mick excellent as always. Keith very good. Mick forgot Darryl in introductions. Liam also good as a warm up band Stones in very fine form. more later
