Jagger Joins Daughter In Campaign for Equal Rights Amendment

As you may know, the USA Equal Rights Amendment has not yet been passed by
the required number of States. Lizzie Jagger is an activist on this issue,
and has enlisted the support of her father for the campaign targeting Illinois...

three daughters that are USA citizens?

interesting, since 3 of his 4 were born in Europe

Lizzie is the only one Born In The USA

edit: ah, i have the answer. if one of your parents was
a USA citizen, but you were born overseas, then you
can apply for "inherited citizenship". Karis and
Georgia May must have done that

Strange. None of them lives in Illinois (as far as I know). This multiple citizenship situation seems to be the thing for immigrants and the global economic elites (such as the Jagger family). One wonders if it should be allowed.

Elizabeth Jagger is a U.S. Citizen by virtue of being born in the States and a British Citizen through her father. She's a 2(1)a under the 1981 British Nationality Act. Nationality and citizenship is my thing grinning smiley

Not every nation allows dual or multi-nationality. India and Zimbabwe being two examples. The U.K. does, however. It isn't particular common, but I have come across people holding four citizenship; four passports.

I am a dual citizen and there is no problem. Why should it not be allowed?

Yes, he did. He renounced due to growing resentment over paying taxes, I think.I've met a few through work who've done the same. The U.S. think you're nuts if you do this, however. The Monty Python guy renounced his citizenship a few years back, too.

Is Keith a US citizen? Or dual British/US.
And what of Sir Mick? I assume he is a 'citizen of nowhere'...or at least whatever 'status' accords him the most tax advantages.

Both Mick and Keith hold a British passport. I wouldn't be surprised if Keith now holds U.S. citizenship as well, however.

3 daughters who are US Citizens will be Karis, Lizzie and Jade. His baby son Dev would benefit as well. I wonder if this was written before Dev's birth. There is no date on it.

Yes, so he probably does hold dual-nationality. I haven't understood those I've come across who choose not to naturalise after making a new country their permanant place of residence. Unless, we are talking about those who move from one EU nation to another. Although cough, cough, let's not politicise this!

Well her eligibility to hold a Nicaraguan passport would depend on that nation's nationality and citizenship laws, of which I have no idea. I wouldn't imagine she holds a French passport, but who knows how she's feeling in this Brexit age!

OK so what happens if the Scots vote in a referendum to leave the UK?

They've already had one and no recent opinion poll has shown a majority wishing to leave. Unfortunately I don't get a vote as I don't live there.

Then Scotland will become it's own nation state and will no-longer form part of the United Kingdom. At present, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are merely countries within the nation state of the United Kingdom. So, in a sense, England and Scotland are not true nations such as the U.S.A. or Canada.
