Tim Ries/ Bernard Fowler 100 Club 18th June
Posted by: thecitadel ()
Date: May 3, 2018 10:50

This gig is now confirmed, for the evening before the Stones Twickenham gig, at the world-famous 100 Club in central London.

Doors will open at 7.30pm, and the event will finish at 11pm. There is easy access from across London. Band on stage around 9pm.

We will be supporting the British Heart Foundation, a charity focused, not surprisingly, on heart disease research.

Tickets will be on sale shortly - watch this space on IORR and the 100 Club website, as well as the usual social media.

Shaping up to be a great couple last nights in the UK.

Club I would visit just to soak in the history, but to catch this, which supports a great cause as well, fantastic! Thanks for posting, will stay tuned..

Silver Dagger:
Last time in London (8th of July 2013), that special guest was Charlie Watts.
I was sitting first row in the Lyric Theatre waiting for the concert to start, when people suddenly started to clap and applaud behind me. When I turned around to see what was going on, Charlie found his seat right behind me and sat there for the first half of the show. After the break, he joined on stage to play on a couple of songs. Chuck Leavell and Darryl Jones also turned up.

Shame that the gig is the same night as Ben's in Ealing. As he played in the ABC&D of boogie for 3 years, Charlie might go there rather than the 100 Club (or neither of course).

Satisfied since 1976

If given the choice, gotta go with the Boogie-woogie whether Charlie's there or not.

I have a good feeling about this one.

I do too. I get to see Ben Waters every 2 months so I'm going for this one based on the experience in 2013. If I miss out on tckets for this, I will still see Ben

Know they are playing around the earlier London dates, and I am seeing them in Edinburgh the night before the show, they have put together a No Stopping Party mini-tour.

Yes, the only difference being that one 'act' is somewhat intrinsically more appealing than the other ... that was all I was trying to say !

BF & TR really should just stick to what they do; 'support' the RS !

Just my humble opinion. You are not obliged to agree, and you probably don't !

From Bernard:

"I’ll be stopping by to sign copies of The Bura at the Project 0 shop at 20 Beak Street in London at 6 pm on June 18th. Come on by....

In other news, I will not be performing st the 100 Club later that night."
