Best deal until now for this box ?

Was £155.99 - [iorr.org] . Current deal: £208.55 - [www.Amazon.co.uk] .

Without a Box: Bundle 1 - [Store.uDiscoverMusic.com] + Bundle 2 - [Store.uDiscoverMusic.com] = £240.98 (regularly, no deal, GHS+B&L missing).

So, the separate albums should be out next week?
Hopefully they do, 'cos I'm doing a two-hour special on Finnish radio on them on Fri 26/6. Concentrating on the "worst era" from DW to ABB and showing that there's actually easily enough good stuff for two hours on those albums.

LOL! Is that based on a playlist you've made of tracks from those LPs? That sounds reasonable.

I'll let the listeners choose the songs and drop some own favourites in between. Trying to avoid the singles and play the lesser played ones and show that there's gems in them too. That can be a bit challenging on DW, though. :-)

No Vinyl, but there're now the Studio-Albums 1971-2016 in HiRes (44.1kHz/24bit) available on:
[www.HighResAudio.com] , [www.Qobuz.com] , [www.e-onkyo.com] , [Mora.jp] , [www.HDtracks.com] , [www.ProStudioMasters.com] and [Store.AcousticSounds.com] .

The HRA-Infobox says: "Half Speed ReMasters HiRes Re-Issue" , but e-onkyo, Mora, HDtracks, ProStudioMasters and AcousticSounds say often: "Remastered 2009" .

Release-date in all HiRes-Stores was 26-Jun-2020.

That is OK, but what mastering is used for it?
Judging IORR: Time Waits For No One (6.37) and Fingerprint File (6.33) that is 2009 remaster. I see no point of purchasing that one.

Yes, unfortunately: [www.e-onkyo.com] , [www.HDtracks.com] , [www.ProStudioMasters.com] , [Store.AcousticSounds.com] .

As expected the vinyl didn't arrive in time for the radio show, but luckily we got mp3's of the half speed mastered tracks. Even those sounded mighty great. Can't wait to get my hands on the vinyl versions.
The tracklist for the radio show was this:

Living In A Ghost Town
Harlem Shuffle
Dirty Work
Had It With You
Mixed Emotions
Slipping Away
Break The Spell
Highwire
Love Is Strong
Sweethearts Together
Baby Break It Down
Out Of Control
You Don't Have To Mean It
Too Tight
Rough Justice
Laugh, I Nearly Died
Back Of My Hand
Doom and Gloom
Don't Stop (the rock mix from the 7" b-side)
Don't Wanna Go Home

The 1/2 speed 2 LP Voodoo Lounge I had pre-ordered via Amazon arrived yesterday. This album I somehow never bought on vinyl when it was released and was content with the CD for many years. Having played this through 2 times now I can say it sounds absolutely great. The 180 gram vinyl is very quiet. The 1st LP is flat while there is a mild warp on the 2nd LP but it doesn't affect playback in the slightest. Deadwax hand written Miles Abbey Road 1/2 speed RM 30. Label says
Made in EU. Overall, I am very happy with this Voodoo Lounge 1/2 speed remastered release. Since my vinyl collection has quality copies of of the other albums that have now been reissued I don't think I will spring for yet another copy. For those that don't have a full vinyl collection these 1/2 speed remasters might be a good choice because of the clean, full sound these releases are likely to provide the listener.

BTW, I thought it worth noting the new Voodoo Lounge LP's I bought are MPO pressed in France.

Did they correct Mixed Emotions on Steel Wheels?

On the LP from the Box 1971-2016 an alternative version that could not be found on any other releases was used.

According to the comments on [www.SuperDeluxeEdition.com] the separate Edition of the HalfSpeed 'Sticky Fingers' doesn't have a real Zipper.

Yes, you’re right. It doesn’t. Sime Girls’ cover is also without holes. I don’t understand why they didn’t do this properly.

Well for one thing that zipper is a record killer. Best you have it zipped down so it sits in the label area of the record and others next to it. It will also leave detents in any other covers next to it, and possibly damage those records as well if they are packed together halfway tight. I segregate my original versions way at the end of a stack with the pressure off the zipper, but it still damages the label area of the record.

Caution: There was a mistake by Universal Music at EOMS-Deluxe: the Tracks 1-12 (Ventilator Blues) to 1-18 (Soul Survivor) were missing.
It was the same fault in all HiRes-Stores. Most of the Stores have now published a corrected version.

So what happened to EOMS ? Half of the original album is missing from the hi res download.

That's CD-Quality (44.1kHz/16bit) while the 3-Jul-2020 release is HiRes 44.1kHz/24bit - [www.e-onkyo.com] - (et al).

That would have been nice .... but as we know Universal Music, they gave us only the 2009 Remaster - [iorr.org] .

Listening to EXILE DELUXE HD POLYDOR 2020 cd. very complete with 28 songs.
But I do not hear any difference in sound quality with the previous deluxe boxset.

It is because both releases share the very same mastering.
