I just received an email from Pop market.com telling me that I will be receiving a download card in the mail. Preemptive yippee!

Just received the box and it's fabulous. Very, very nice artwork and quality. Listened to SF, EOMS and GHS. They sound really good (although the first 2 not very different from my 2009 CD's, maybe a little warmer and less harsh, but not significantly. On moonlight mile I noticed an irritating hiss sound in the left speaker in the last 2 minutes, like I have blown the speaker (which isn't the case). I'm wondering if other people noticed this, or that this is a pressing issue and only happening on my copy.

GHS sounds much better than the 2009 CD IMO. Really clean and nice sound. I cannot compare it to the original LP, but I can imagine sound quality is equal.

On Steve Hoffman forum, people reported about the strange mix of Mixed emotions ( and it's true: there is an organ in the mix that shouldn't be there. A little annoying, but not a showstopper. Furthermore, all LP's are put in regular white inner sleeves and the original (often hard paper) inner sleeves are also included separately.

Very happy with this box!

I hope next they do the live albums from got live to shine a light don't need to include the vaults or SSS or Havana moon etc

My first box was send only in the box from the label/fabric, ofcourse it's not strange that it was damaged. The second box I ordered was also in an extra shipping box send to me and that one is in mint condition. Great!

Also Goats Head Soup, IORR, Some Girls, Emotional Rescue, Tattoo You, Dirty Work and Voodoo Lounge are in 24 bits / 44.1kHz (while other albums are in 16 bits, ie CD resolution). On EOMS only Loving Cup is in 24 bits... Go figure...

But 'Latest Stereo Remasters' could mean 2009 or 2018. It's not clear if the Download-files have been remastered too ....

Mine is 11000 something. Don't remember exact number.

Same story as for GHS. Looks like the same mastering with level shift. Again this is 24/44 not CDDA.

Conclusion - I would say, they gave us 2009 remasters for digital download here. Although, some of those have higher bitrate and slight level shift.

So has the download card shown up in any of the US releases?

I raised a ticket for these issues and had a response to say they have fixed it. I re-downloaded them and they are all there now.

It was just for one day (Music day in France).

Just two minor details: they forgot to include the lyric sheet of Tattoo You and the original inner sleeve for Emotional Rescue.

Since the download card wasn’t included in any USA boxes, despite it saying so on the outer box, I contacted Amazon, who is issuing a $35.99 refund off my cost of the box, $179.00, bringing it down to $143.00. Not a bad price for such a nice piece.
