I wish someone would put out a classic Stones album or two on Blu Ray sound.

Already done in 2012-2014:

GRRR! - BluRay-Audio: [www.Amazon.com]

Exile On Main Street - BluRay-Audio: [www.Amazon.com]

Let It Bleed - BluRay-Audio: [www.Amazon.com]

Thanks. I'll be looking for them though they are out of print and rather pricey.

Actually at least GRRR and Let It Bleed are officially available as high resolution downloads with the same quality as on the blu-ray audio.

And the upcoming vinyl box set is supposed to have hi-res downloads of all the albums contained therein.

They were seriously lean and mean on the NO Security tour. Playing arenas without all of their usual stadium-filling spectacle really made them bring their A game.

The opening video was a perfect mission statement for how the band performed:

Lean, sinewy, SCREW YOU attitude. They had something to prove.

Now, Ronnie wasn't in the best shape in '99...I know this is a debated point, but I can attest that was rather out of it for a decent portion of the Boston show I attended....but Keith was focused like a laser and more than made up for it.

WOW! Great video. Never thought I'd think the the 1999 Stones looked so young and vibrant, but they do. Cannot wait for this release.

Me neither. It was pretty much their last peak. From No Security it's been a slow, steady decline.

Well, Ronnie was actually not in the best shape on the NS tour, but Keith was razor sharp.

Unfortunately three years later for Licks, Ronnie was finally sober (for a time) at Mick's insistence, which led to some brilliant playing, while Keith's chops started to fade due to age and arthritis.

I'm looking forward to this, but I'm also looking to get my hands on the Bruce Springsteen 1987-1996 Vol 2 Complete Albums on CD, imported from Japan, so may need a second mortgage.

Did anyone notice that "Saint of Me" is up on spotify?

Any idea if they'll release all the vault albums on streaming services? Seems a bit odd to only have 2 up there now.

Also, why isn't No Security (The first one) available to stream?

Still not wild about the mix on this, but so happy to finally have it (and it looks fantastic).

Man, even that Tumbling Dice (a song I am usually bored with these days) just POPS with energy. Columbus 99 was my second favorite Stones show ever (Nashville 97 remains my favorite, though it was also my very first Stones show).

Yeah, that mix is a bit disappointing. The drums have a lifeless thud and the guitars are a bit thin, which was symptomatic of their sound back then.

Nevertheless, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this release.

Has anyone seen the LP paired with DVD or BluRay? I’ve only seen the LP as a stand-alone product.
