The Stones don't own the rights to @#$%& Blues - Robert Frank does

Not too sure about that... About 10 years ago when Frank was planning a comprehesive film box (incl. CScool smiley Jagger dropped his lawyers on the project. The DVD box was finally released by Steidl... without CSB.

Methinks CSB is ruled by "US style" copyright (you produced/funded it, you own it) not European copyright (you directed it, you own it). The "Frank can show it once a year" rule is probably a consequence of Jagger's courtesy, not a proof Frank owns it.

For reasons that no one can work out, a Eagle Rock continue to offer a 2CD+blu-ray edition of these kinds of releases in America, but not in Europe. Crucially, SDE can confirm that the ‘SD blu-ray’ in this combo set is compatible with all regions (A, B, C), so importing is an option. As a rough guide, buying this edition from Amazon US with UK shipping and import deposit (i.e. the ‘all in’ price) is around £34. The 2CD+DVD price in the UK is about £20 at the moment.

Important: There is categorically no 2CD+blu-ray edition available outside of the US. Amazon UK are currently incorrectly listing a 2CD+blu-ray, but SDE can confirm that this is a standalone blu-ray and is currently a listing error. To avoid confusion there is no link to this version in the widget below, but for reference the INCORRECT UK listing is here."

Amazon UK

Amazon US

*Amazon US is still behind the 8 ball with the categories. I click on BluRay plus 2CD and get a 2CD Import. It's still early and will sort itself out.

Maybe, but I'd be very surprised if the Stones have (or own) the unreleased footage from the movie.

Add to that, the inevitability that a lot of this footage (and other film from that era) has probably deteriorated over the years and may not necessarily be usable.

GREAT single, better than the No Security album version. However Ronnie's slightly out of tune guitar is annoying during the bridge.

Great version but same "drowned in echo" mix as on Sticky Fingers Live. Feels like the band is playing from an empty pool...

Basically I love the song on first listen. Thanks for the iTunes info. I wouldn't of thought of an early release of anything. Hopefully there's more to come. July 13 seems far off.

I always get the Blu-Ray. The sound alone is almost always much, much better. Even the god awful 'Ladies & Gentlemen' sounds incrementally better with Blu Ray sound. I wish someone would put out a classic Stones album or two on Blu Ray sound.

Let it Bleed and Exile were released in the Blu Ray Audio format. They may be out of print by now.

Actually at least GRRR and Let It Bleed are officially available as high resolution downloads with the same quality as on the blu-ray audio.

Question if ordering from CDJapan. You have to create an account, am I correct? If so, they want an awful lot of information. Past experience with this source anyone?
