Funny how clueless even we diehards can be sometimes. When Miss You came out, even though it became a big hit, I thought of it as a rather atypical novelty for the Stones. I actually thought after the 1978 tour they might forget about it. Silly me!

I've always loved the way Miss You was played on the 78 tour. I wish they would/could go back to playing it that way again. Unfortunately it will never happen with the current version of the band.

I always liked Miss You both studio version and live - even the way it's played these days.
It's one of the few times the band and especially Mick sort of let it loose with a bit of improv. Not thrilled with Darryl's bass solo, but it's better than hearing him plonk away on Emotional Rescue.

Loved hearing the irish accent(s) and the sound was quite good on her feed.

People talking about OUT OF OUR HEADS numbers.. "The Last Time", "Play With Fire", "I'm All Right", "The Spider & The Fly".... good, good songs, but dammit, none of those songs are included in my version of the album... I wonder which one BV has in his mind...

Seriously, American version of the album is actually one of their strongest albums ever. They at least play one number from it for certain...

I think rocking version of “Mercy” would do well in a stadium.

Rocker dudes hated the song. Chicks liked it, but that's no surprise. It really clashed with some of the heavier stuff on the album.
