they deserve some acknowledgement from the industry. this album should get some nominations. i know they act like they don't give a shit about the grammys, but i think at least mick would. does anyone agree that they should at least get nominations?
Well, the grammys mostly suck, but sometimes they give some cool artists recognition. Didn't the Stones get a lifetime achievement grammy in 1986 or so? I remember they played the harlem shuffle video but can't remember if any Stones were at the ceremony. Anybody remembering this?

nope...it was 1986
They got a lifetime achievement award via satellite from London. It was just after they had played the Ian Stewart Memorial Concert at the 100 Club. Mick made a speech (with some interjections by Ronnie)
Youre getting it mixed up with the Rock n roll hall of fame ceremony in january 1989, which was attended by Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Mick Taylor. All four of them made a speech that night
Stones don't need no stinkin' Grammys!! They've already been "awarded" for 43 years now by us fans always supporting them and seeing them on tour! That's all they'll ever need.

Fair dinkum!!... Their barred from my stereo I've only heard about once they were on top of some mountain the Jovi bloke was screamin like a mad dog...Aw yeah I have seen the Jovi guy in a submarine war movie...other wise zero about 'em...
Doesn't - "Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal" have more weight than "Best Rock Album" these days (and btw Steve Tyler and Co. took that one in 1994.)??? Although, still nice that the Boys got the recognition in 1994. I think ABB deserves some acclaim for sure!
BTW, do any other countries have their own version of the Grammy's? In Canada, there's the Juno Awards. Lately it's been the Shania, Celine, Avril, Sarah (Mclachlan) or Alanis show.
