Another challenge : in how many of the 50 states in the US they have played ?
(I have not the answer)
States not played (in terms of concerts)
Alaska, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Wyoming.
*likely incorrect list as done very quickly utilizing google
Baltimore Maryland in 1969.
40

Thanks guys !
Just checked the 1964 year on Rocks Off.
42 : Omaha (Nebraska, june) & Providence (Rhode Island, november)
42 on 50, pretty amazing !
They have played too in all of the 8 canadian provinces from Pacific to Atlantic oceans : British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia.
Because they haven't done a Zip Code-2 tour, yet.Quote

Any reason for the non appearance in these States?
Have other Acts played them?...Dylan for example. He seems to be always on the road.

These states
...qualify as the "boonies" and therefore not logistically feasible.
They also haven't played Antarctica -- but it doesn't mean they should, just for the sake of checking off a bucket list.

Understood.
All in fun in answer to legit question of states they've not played.
Taking it to the Zip Code 2 level is interesting though as they had similar logistical feasibility and "boonies" concerns playing San Diego to Quebec City on Zip Code.
The only real logistical issue would be Alaska, but many acts include Anchorage on itineraries so must be worth it. Sure. there's zero chance, and they likely aren't interested in hitting every state, but it would be a cool foot-note.

I must admit a club gig in Antarctica would be a great publicity gimmick as a "warm-up" show for a tour -- it would make headlines the world over.
Imagine being able to boast that you'd played to the entire population of a whole continent -- all 1106 of them!
And of course, She's So Cold would have to be in the set list.

Metallica already "stole the show". They performed (very heavily dressed), in a kind of tent, for a couple hundred people on Antarctica and documented it. So Greenland would be better for the Stones (and then they could "easily" add Iceland on the list as well, and maybe the Shetland Islands too. Weather wise I would prefer Taiwan, though (with Hot Stuff on the setlist )

On a side note, why isn't Daryl Jones a Stone? He's played bass for them for a quarter century?

Well, technically he's just an employee of the Rolling Stones.

5 world tours?
Certainly there's been more than 5. I can think of these and it's more than 5:
TATTOO YOU
STEEL WHEELS
VOODOO LOUNGE
BRIDGES TO BABYLON
LICKS
A BIGGER BANG
50 AND COUNTING
14 ON FIRE

Besides Baltimore, 1969, there were the three shows at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland on December 7,8 & 9, 1981. The December 7 show was my first Stones show. I was 16, and my father gave me 4 front row seats, backstage passes and free parking. A lawyer he knew had done some work for the Stones on the tour, and they'd rewarded him with the tickets. He wasn't interested, and his kids all lived in New England, so he gave them to my dad, who gave them to me.
*Did you go backstage? What happened? How was front row in 1981?
