jlowe..yea I always think of our great Queen's longevity when comparing it to others but it's different sort of longevity so it doesn't really count

Not unprecedented in terms of show business.

It says here that Bob Hope's career lasted nearly 80 years.

mikeyC..Yes it's only right that Ian's name should be on there just that quite a few hardcore fans have said otherwise later on I'll be making a few small changes to it and his name will be included so in what order would ya put Ian's name on the plaque Brian,Mick,Keith then Ian would that be right?

There would be alot more shows if TV performances,mini-sets and video shoots were included in their stats.

Amazing. Setting the standard of longevity.

As long as the Stones keep on rolling, they as a band will always be big brothers of mine - two years older in fact.

Surprised they never played in Russia.

Didn't they do a concert in St. Petersburg?

Ah yeah looking it up now they did in 2007, and also Moscow back in '98.
I was looking at and distracted by the vast blank space over Russia in the pic above and overlooked the two little dots on the left side.

Surprised they haven't played in Alaska, Greenland, or Iceland - maybe next tour. winking smiley

Uum...53 countries played to date.
Around 193 countries in the United Nations.

Plenty of scope to explore some new territories.

There's never been anything remotely like them. Sure, there's been plenty of jazz and blues guy, etc. who've played into old age, but to have such a level of success as to pack stadiums in their seventies...amazing.

I agree that Ian should be on there as well... Regarding "the order" I have no answer. Wasn't he at the "first rehearsal" before Keith (or any of the others) got there? Also, what years? Tough one. But in my mind, regardless of what the press releases or liner notes may have said, I get the impression that the "seven stones" always considered him a Stone. They did insist on his inclusion into the R&RHOF (where they are listed alphabetically on the website).
