Primal Scream - The Original Memphis Recordings (Give Out But Don’t Give Up original sessions as produced by Tom Dowd)

Sound is truly excellent - the 2 LP's play at 45 rpm even though the 33 rpm box is ticked...

Me too. Next to me resurgence of Stones 77'79 outtakes I have also been on a big Miles Davis listening spree. Trying to concentrate on the electric period. And somewhere in the middle of that I saw an Ace Frehley interview. I thought he is a cool dude, and got his solo albums.

IMO the highlight of that album are the ballads; all of them: the last two of course, but the best one is "Im gonna cry myself blind". At 3:48 they have been doing the "cry cry" part, then they keep it going, but the intro comes back in over different chords this time - the whole thing sounds huge and soul stirring.Quote

I loved the original record, but this is like the best of the other record almost! I’ve listened to it twice tonight.
Possibly the best album the stones never made!!

do boots count? I just picked up vinyl copy (at local record shop no less!) of Stones boot "Germany '82"
Love the Chantilly Lace track!
(sorry no pic, I gave up on photo bucket and all its pop ups)
