Any news about the support acts 2018?

In 2017 I think "The Struts" in Zürich were great.

Hopefully Greta Van Fleet and once again Rival Sons!

Heard that it will be The Speciasl for Coventry, no idea for the other gigs.

What about Harry Styles? The new, up and coming, Mick Jagger?

I saw the Specials when they were known as The Coventry Specials circa '77 they were supporting the Clash, I think, at Bristol Locarno.

Spunky is my nickname ;-)

Not originally from Manchester, but they rose to fame as part of the Manchester scene back in the early '90's - the Charlatans.
They have raved about the Stones in the past, and are a great band live - maybe a candidate for opening in Manchester?
And I vaguely recall they opened for the Stones during either the Licks tour or A Bigger Bang?

I believe they were one of the support acts at the Slane Castle show in 2007.

Would be perfect, a bit of ska, before the stones come on. It will be a cracking atmosphere.

As well as opening for the Stones with the Charlatans, didn't Tim Burgess perform solo as an opener, also?

Saw them opening for The Who in Quebec. Great sound, great stage presence, great energy. Nice band with some great songs.
I'd like to see them again.

Hmmm...I don't know about that. They kind of sucked back in 1989 as openers at the L.A. Coliseum if you ask me, and I liked there first album at the time.
Not sure if 30 years later there would be any improvement.

Common guys... Guns and Roses are selling so many tickets there is absolutely no reason at all for them to be a warm up band. Also they will costs almost the same as the Stones.

Yep,Licks show at Manchester arena definitely. He arrived in a taxi, pulled up right next to me :-)
